pull all the studs out of the mags that have lipper blood in them and you will have a very small list of stud dogs...

Good morning Blue Walker... Thanks for your support. I am really proud of these pups. They have grown into good looking smart acting bold bundles of energy. They are 3 1/2 mos. old now. I see so much of LIPPER in these sons and daughters. Have a good day.

There were some good Sackett blood X Lipper blood crosses, but Sackett Jr. was a top notch reproducer and didn't need to ride anybody's coat-tails. Period. I've been to the woods with enough Jr. bred dogs without much if any Lipper in them to know that they didn't need Lipper's help to be coondogs.

I agree PWC. Lipper produced some great hounds and so did Sackett Jr. The biggest difference that I have seen between the 2 strains is drive and brains.... Most Lipper dogs have NO reverse and are gamey as anything there is. The problem I have seen is that they can be hell to break off of trash. Sackett Jr dogs seem to have a little calmer personalities and more brains to them. They are normally no where near as trashy and can be broke much easier. Not trying to knock either strain. I'd love to have a heavy Lipper bred dog but I'm not man enough to train one.... LOL

Oh, and I do like the Lipper/Sackett Jr. crosses. The Sackett Jr. tones the Lipper down a little... LOL

I would think it should be a VERY SMALL list cause Lipper had OVER 5,000 pups! They HAD to go somewhere. Sackett J.R. had better numbers and Mr. Giddings said and I quote" Numbers don't lie!"

History

For me its not that Lipper produced such a high percentage of complete dogs even though he did produce some outstanding ones. Its the fact that he threw some poweful traits, Mouth, Tracking, Layup, etc. The right cross on him made some powerful dogs. Few dogs however could dominate a litter with some of these desirable traits like he could and influence those traits for generations while allowing you to use them in other crosses to improve a line. My current stud has Lipper 4 times,Houses Chief 15 times, Houses Bawlie 8 times, and Houses Queen 24 times so I quess you could say I am a fan.

LITTER OF IMPACT..Papers came in..

Well it's Christmas come early at my house. For the first time in a long time, I got to open an envelope and pull a set of PKC papers
showing "HOUSE'S LIPPER" as the sire and War Creek Anna, an exceptional female out of Cowee Creek Clint and a Rock River Frank female as the dam. The pups are 4 mos. old and looking good. Have a great day and GOD bless.

Impact litter

I sincerely hope that a pup from that cross is Lipper made over. I will either have or will go buy the strongest Finley River bred female from Dan 3 bloodlines to breed to him.

I have nice dogs now. But, I have never had one that I thought would equal the litter Tom Wilbers and I had out of Gr. Ch. Mears' Finley River Trap. They were freaks of nature. That is the only way I know how to describe them. They still haunt my memory.

Good Hunting,
Robert

P.S. Junior and I showed against Lipper and Tom at Green Forest, ARK. He was and still is, in my opinion, a beautiful hound. People forget he was a World Show Champion. His ability speaks for itself.

LITTER OF IMPACT

Hello Robert... I too have high expectations for this latest litter
of LIPPER pups after saving this semen for so long. I sure can see and hear the LIPPER in them. That would be a once in a lifetime cross. Thanks for the kind words and memories.

It ought to be interesting to see what traits show up on the Lipper and Insane Jane cross , and see the differences between them and the Insane group of dogs out of her. When you add the Trackman group in, you might get an idea of the role that she plays in them all !
But if I was wanting to get an all weather type dog, Travis Brown had posted one that would have fit the bill for that, of that I have no doubts. I know what went into the line and still see it on Haley's nephew and granddaughter that I have. The bad thing is you would probably get one that they talk about worse than Lipper !

After the 4th cast last night and still not a plus point. Are you getting a little disappointed in the Litter of Impact?

Well from what I've seen both Paul and Tom like their young dogs, and beings that they own them and feed them, I would say they suit them and that's all that matters ! Not all dogs are ready at an early age to be put into the hunts, especially the ones that haven't been hunted in packs. You cast one that has only ran by itself in a 4 dog cast it does mess them up, till they get used to it . They have plenty of time to learn and they will, unlike some that post with all the putdowns, that seem to know it all !

Talk about someone blowin, and beat it all you do it over an 11 month old pup...........WOW.......!!!

If the man wants to brag on HIS pup, then let him do it, he feeds it.................its a PUP, but you know everything I can tell.......LOL.....

Some of you guys are comical just reading your posts about a pup you have never seen let alone hunted with, but you are so smart you can look at a pic of the pup and tell everything about it.

This is one of the faults of this sport these days........There is NO RESPECT for our fellow hunters anymore............

The Persecution of Dr. Law...

I find it strangely familiar that a small group of men (word used loosely)would make it their undieing mission to destroy the reputation of a very promising 11 month old pup. The rule of thumb that has Proven true time and time again over the years is If the jealous bashers are after you... Then you must have something that they are afraid of. Be it known that LIPPER'S DR. LAW has what I have bred for and looked for in a coondog for last thirty Years. Good luck guys ... I hope you like crow !

Speaking for myself, the only issue I have is that the breeding of a pup is questionable simply due to not knowing what he will eventually mature into. Introducing an unknown gene pool into the breeding quotient is far from responsible, especially if one is truly concerned with the breed as a whole. You have a pup that was a result of a breeding that you have no basis to examine it from the perspective of it working or not. Then, before he has even proven what he will turn into, you allow folks to breed to him. An unknown pup from an unknown breeding producing unknown traits. Then you post it for all to see and turn around and cry persecution because someone speaks out against it. Please. These folks are guinea pigs for nothing more than your ego. Jealousy has nothing to do with it. I just hate seeing folks get taken advantage of, but I am sure that in your mind it is their fault as there are many to breed to yet they chose Law. Guide them, don't take advantage of them. I could careless if its Dr. Law off of Lipper or Dr. Suess off of Mickey Mouse. Breeding a yearling is a bad idea.
