Nothing Fancy just a nice mature doe taken on my last day to hunt with a muzzleloader. She is my first michigan deer and the best part was my 10 year old son Levi was along. Drop her in her tracks at 75 yards using a cva optima elite hunting on state land. I have now killed a deer in every state i have lived in.

Hey everyone how's it going? Haven't been on here in about 8 months. I'm on vacation for a few days so I had some spare time and thought I'd post a picture of my buck I was blessed with this year. I have been after him for 2 season's now and we finally met up. Take care.

My sons 1st deer

Well, it took most of the year, but with the help of a good friend, Bob Brooks, and his buddy Dan my 13 year old finally managed to take his 1st deer.

Thank you Bob and Dan!

After the report of the gun, I told my son,"I don't know if you hit her or not." He replied, "dad, if that gun is on that deer is dead!"

He was right. Once I found her down in the binoculars I looked at my son whose whole body was shaking.

Nothing to special. This buck was aged at 7 years old.He was an old boy on the downhill side of life.

And here's a little video of him coming into my stand.I had my camera mounted on my bow, so when the shot goes off, it shakes a lot and not the best.

Rusty, thats a nice deer and really cool video. Looks like you had a great setup, he seemed to come right in from where you wanted him and even stopped in a nice window with a tree for you to draw your bow from behind...that looked like it came together perfectly! Nice.

hey thanks, only bad part is I have a camera mount wher my stabalizer goes. When you shoot you get the shock of the bow and miss the actual arrow impact. Gonna have to get a tree mount for my camera, but thanks again, it did work out perfect....for a change LOL
