WE WENT DOOR TO DOOR YESTERDAY. TALKED TO ABOUT 6 PEOPLE THAT WERE HOME.

WE TALKED TO ONE MAN, MICHAEL HOYLE, HE SAID ON FRIDAY HE HEARD A DOG TREED UP ON THE MOUNTAIN. WAS TREED ABOUT ALL DAY LONG. HE SAID IT HAD A DEEP BAWL MOUTH. ACE WAS SQUEAKY, HE WAS IN THAT PUBERTY STAGE WHERE HE COULD BARK CLEAR WHEN HE WANTED TO, BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT WAS A SQUEAKY BARK.

WE TALKED TO HIM FOR QUITE A WHILE. HE BIRD HUNTS. WE GAVE HIM A FLYER, AND HE SAID ANYONE HE SAW DRIVING UP AND DOWN THE ROAD HE WOULD SHOW THE FLYER TO FOR US.

HE TOLD US HOW TO GET TO SOME OF THE HOUSES WAY BACK ON THE MOUNTAIN.

EVERYONE WE TALKED TO HAD NOT SEEN OR HEARD ACE. SO IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK LIKE HE'S NEVER BEEN IN THE AREA SINCE WE TURNED HIM OUT.

Christy I have been looking down here and haven't seen anything. I am going to ride to a guys house today who sees alot of dogs and I will talk to him about ACE. I really hope you find him. I wish there was more that could be done but it seems like hands are full and tied. Good luck and I will keep looking.

christy very sorry to hear this. hope ace shows up soon. i was just sitting hear wondering about the gravel road you mention. i picture it as maybe a place where teen agers might go to drink or party. im sure im wrong, but also i'm thinking maybe you could set the thieves up. maybe get a dog barking again in this area. maybe same night of the week ace went missing. maybe same time of the night. an old fashioned stake out. its a long shot i know. its just what came to my mind as i read this post. if someone came to the dog then get their tag #.

A terrier female I gave a friend went out of her yard with her other dog and ended up 30 miles away. She didn't get that far on her own, someone gave her a ride. It took three weeks to find her, so don't give up.

My friend put a notice on a radio program that was for swapping things. Someone heard it and called her about the dog. If you have anything like that in your area, would not hurt to ask if they could do that for you.

I hope you find him.

WE POSTED UP FLYERS, PROBABLY CLOSE TO 100 MORE PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT ACE NOW.

HAD A DOG GET KILLED IN THE ROAD RIGHT IN FRONT OF US ONE TIME. CAR WAS TRAVELING TOWARDS US IN THE LEFT HAND LANE WHEN IT STRUCK THE DOG AND KILLED HIM INSTANTLY. DOG LANDED ACROSS THE DITCH ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE ROAD. FOUND HIS TRACKING COLLAR AND REGULAR COLLAR ACROSS THE DITCH ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE ROAD LAYING 3 FEET APART. 1 COLLAR WAS UNBUCKLED AND THE OTHER COLLAR WAS STILL BUCKLED. WOULD HAVE BEEN HARD TO BELIEVE THE COLLARS ENDED UP WHERE THEY DID IF I HAD NOT SEEN IT FOR MYSELF WHEN IT HAPPENED. I HOPE THIS ISN'T THE CASE BUT THE DOG COULD HAVE BEEN HIT BY A CAR ON THE BRIDGE AND COLLAR/DOG LANDED IN THE WATER.

I'd also post this on craigslist for your state and surrounding states..I found a dog out in my pasture back during the winter.Sucker was 100 years old.Could barely get around and could hardly see! Had a small blue collar on but no name tag..I was just gonna put him out of his misery but we decided to keep him a few days just to see if anyone knew anything about it.I guessed somebody put him out so they would not have to bury him..Posted him on craigslist and a women said she had saw the dog before on a poster..She calls owner.Owner calls me.Owner gets her dog back she'd had for 15yrs!!!!!! LOTS of folks look on that site that dont look on these hunting boards.

THE COPS INVESTIGATED THAT POSSIBILITY. THE WAS TAKEN OFF OF ACE WHILE HE WAS STILL IN THE WOODS. WE TRACKED IT AS IT WENT OUT OF TRACKING RANGE. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE BRIDGE AND DROPPED OFF IN HOPES OF DESTROYING EVIDENCE OF WHOEVER STOLE HIM.

YES. EVERYONE WE TALKED TO SAID THAT EVERYONE ELSE WAS NICE PEOPLE AND WERE ALWAYS GOOD ABOUT CATCHING AND CALLING OWNERS IF THEIR HOUNDS CAME OVER. BECAUSE REDBONE HUNTER LESTER GREEN LIVES JUST RIGHT ACROSS THE THE MOUNTAIN AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT IF THERE IS A HOUND THAT COMES IN, CHANCES ARE IT HAS CAME FROM LESTERS.
