A Great Lesson on Stress
A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and explaining stress management to an audience with a raised glass of water. Everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question, 'half empty or half full?'...
She fooled them all .... "How heavy is this glass of water?" she inquired with a smile.
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied , "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it.
If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm .
If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.
In each case it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She continued, "and that's the way it is with stress. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on."

"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden - holding stress longer and better each time practiced.

So , as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down.
Don't carry them through the evening and into the night... Pick them up tomorrow.

3 * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

That next morning during breakfast the husband looked at his wife, who was obviously hungover, and asked, “So… what time did you get in last night?”

“Oh, right around midnight, just like I said,” she replied. The husband didn’t seem disturbed at all. Her plan had worked!

“Well,” he said, “I think we need a new cuckoo clock.”

“Why do you say that?” she asked.

“Because last night the one we have cuckooed 3 times, then said ‘oh ****,’ cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, then tripped over the coffee table and farted.”

Linkous must have really fried something no power at all walked up on top ridge no lights any where called Mom she has no power either which means my Mom's neighbor who is Davids grandmother has none either I not know what he is cooking in his under ground bunker probably something for the hunt at the cabin but he had better quit because if Granny Ruby does not get her power back soon she is not going to be happy

Corky still no power it really does not bother me but you would have thought it was the worst thing ever with my daughter she is scared of the dark and than this morning she had no power for her hair dryer so I took a marine battery and a power converter so she could dry her hair and she used a flash light to put on her make up I told her I was glad that all I had was natural beauty to see me threw this world

Rainy yuck ALL day hear! Mud... pain in the neck with dawgs but.... We could use the moisture. Not sure what is ahead?

Mum doing well at rehab. Oxygen still goes low if they take her off it... so she may have to go home with O2. She will Despise that....... We are all going to have a family meeting at some point before she is ready to go home. Tomorrow the medical and nursing team will meet. THey were HORRIFIED to find out she did NOT have 24 hr CARE at home...but just college students living with her and doing meals... They do NOT want her doing her meds alone any more. Poor mum. She will despise losing more independance...

Morning all!
It is grey and in my house cold and I don't wanna do anything but bundle up in a blanket....

BUT... It's laundry day so I guess I'll do laundry too.
Mum still doing well. She's going to have a ruff time accepting 24 hour professional help at home so a few prayers for Peace of Mind so she can still have quality help will be awesome....
I think I'll go see wassup on here, take care of the kitty cat and sneak in a nap...or two.... lol... SO far this week each time I have tried for a nap the phone has rung so if anyone would like to call today GO AHEAD!
