Man Flu – The Facts…
1. Man-Flu is more painful than childbirth. This is an irrefutable scientific fact*.
*(Based on a survey of over 100,000 men.)
2. Man-Flu is not ‘just a cold’. It is a condition so severe that the germs from a single Man-Flu sneeze could wipe out entire tribes of people living in the rainforest. And probably loads of monkeys too.
3. Women do not contract Man-Flu. At worst they suffer from what is medically recognised as a ‘Mild Girly Sniffle’ – which, if a man caught, he would still be able to run, throw a ball, tear the phone book in half and compete in all other kinds of manly activities.
4. Men do not ‘moan’ when they have Man-Flu. They emit involuntary groans of agony that are entirely in proportion to the unbearable pain they are in.
5. Full recovery from Man-Flu will take place much quicker if their simple requests for care, sympathy and regular cups of tea are met. Is that really so much to ask? Florence Nightingale would have done it.
6. More men die each year from MFN (Man-Flu Neglect) than lots and lots of other things. (Like rabbit attacks or choking on toast).
7. Men suffering from Man-Flu want nothing more than to get out of bed and come to work, but they are too selfless to risk spreading this awful condition amongst their friends and colleagues. In this sense, they are the greatest heroes this country has ever known.
8. In 1982 scientists managed to simulate the agonising symptoms of full blown Man-Flu in a female chimp. She became so ill that her head literally fell off.
9. Man-Flu germs are more powerful than He-Man, The Thundercats and The A-Team combined. They are too strong for weak, nasty tasting ‘lady medicines’ like Lemsip, so don’t bother trying to force them on a victim of Man-Flu.
10. While it may seem like a Man-Flu sufferer is just lying around enjoying ‘Diagnosis Murder’ it is a commonly recognised medical fact that the exact pitch and frequency of Dick Van Dyke’s voice has remarkable soothing powers.
Every minute in this country one man is struck down by Man-Flu. Women, all we ask is that each of you offers them a cup of tea, some kind words and your undivided attention and care. Then maybe, just maybe, we’ll beat this monstrous disease together…

The biggest thing I see about the Mojo dogs is you need Scott to go with them. Dont know of any offspring being hunted down here.

Hi All

First off I'd like to ask for Prayers for Mummy... who is in the Hospital in Boston. She was not admitted yet and was still in Emerg. last I heard. Short of breath(she was so hoarse this am when I called to wake her I couldn't hear her well so didn't realise she was having any breathing issues! I would have gone right in had I known!)... any way her EKG wasn't quite normal so they will do more tests on heart. She is doing well with oxygen and not needing respirator and is stable so all that is good. She is very strong...but each trip to the hosp. steals a bit more of her life.... I'm hopeful but worried cause she has sounded awful for a few days.... and I found out today that she was weak enough to worry one of the guys who works for her...so he stayed till her nighttime help came...and he had to HELP her eat cause she was so weak! He MADE her eat... He takes care of his mother who is not well...so he KNEW she NEEDED to eat.... Of course SHE would NOT let him call and worry me! Then the woman who was with her said she was having trouble walking without falling etc! Akkk.... If she gets better 100% I'm gonna kill her! I will NOT let her get away with not calling me again! I'm glad my sister Cassandra made an appt at Dr today and that they sent her right to hosp......
AND... the snow sounds like it is NOT gong to be as bad as first thought. Sounds like a messy weekend though. YUCK! and yes, SPRING is closer!!!
I wont be going in to work for mum tomorrow obviously but will go in IF she wants to see me. My sister Cass will be there. If she goes on resp. Martha will come up from NY and stay with her. (Mart is retired resp. ICU nurse)....

Poachers... ruin the name of hunters to the public... Glad they are doing something about those people and hope it does NOT damage hunters images!

Mum is apparently in some congestive heart failure. Mart said she sounded very bad when she spoke to her.... THey now have her on OV and catheterised and on Lasix and all that stuff they do for this. Waiting to see if kidneys are able to work etc... I will be going into the Hosp. in the AM and I will try to get her to eat then...not doing so well with that.
Of course at her age none of this is very good news. I'm kicking myself for NOT going in earlier..since I was orig. going to take her to the eye Dr the other day and would have KNOWN as soon as I saw her that she was not well. The last day I was there she was getting hoarse...but was able to do some of her exercises and ate etc...
SIGH... I know you will all be praying and I thank you all in advance!

WB, havent read the recipe's. Fish Tacos are a new fad in some areas. Some use fried fish, the health nuts use grilled. The salt packed fish is an old recipe and I have been tempted to try it. The fish cooked on the board also, Jason gave me a board for that a couple years ago, done forgot what kinda wood it is. I dont cook or eat any fish with them still looking at me.

Well I am a third generation of blues owner. My dad would think I was nuts to own a wal cur.

Need prayers tonight. Buster was hit by a car tonight while hunting. Doing something I always said I wouldn't do and am on the way to emergency vet. It is amazing how hunting dogs become so much of your life. Initial vet visit is broken jaw possible broken leg. Going so he will have care all night for any internal damage.
I know our friends on here have issues with family memeber and dan and heather you all are in my prayers as well.
