NOW, As for Yankees... and forHeavens sake rubbing my family's face in the humilty of surrender...LOL... (Don't forget I'm a decsendant of Robt E Lee...) Tail between my legs here I live up in Yankee land.... all mixed up genetically and socially... I mean WHO coonhunts here?

Sunny... mid 30s in the shade... Snow coming beginning Thursday now possible? Might be a "Historic storm" which kinda freaks out those of us who are old enough to REMEMEBER the Bilzzard of 78.... which was a DOOZIE for sure. Again, there is a chance it may be nothing.... Have a feeling I will be housebound though and not at Mums... We'll see and I'll get TONS of pix. Knowing this town we'll be dark and cold here too...LOL.. but the fireplace will keep us alive and the generator will keep us eating... some...

My first truck was a FORD...and I did love it.... But I ADORE my Suburban....

Shannon, the song I would VENT with is Back2Good... I was gonna post a link to the Utube...but decided it wasn't quite appropriate for UKC...lol... I blasted it and Bob was laughing at me... He knew right away that he was the singer for Smooth with Santana... I am pretty sure he has at least one Matchbox20 cd... We have quite a few in this house. My son Richard is a BIT of a "collector" (Hoarder) but has most in Itunes or something now. AMAZING assortment of styles. Classical-punk with all in between... Before he sells off his CDS someday... I'll be sure to search thru...cause I don't have a Ipod or anything.... We all love music in this house!

Hi Y'all!

Well...the calm before the STORM! lol... SUnshine cool... went around and around with the dawgs... and came inside and they wanted to go RIGHT back out to the yard...lol... They will be Loving some snow...but Daisy will be BURIED and Webster... shivering like a leaf... Blizzard of 78 was above my waist.... the drifts were truly amazing. Wish we had had digital cameras back then! We dug a tunnel across the sidewalk to the road thru the snowplow MOUNTAIN... cool stuff...but it was awful tuff to get around! WEIRD to see Boston at a standstill!!!
I will be careful, THANK YOU ALL! Got the heat up now to keep us warm....if we lose power. I will be BORED stiff if we can't get on here....lol... will have withdrawal!

Hope yo uall don't get TOO much rain etc...where you are! AND... IF we lose power I'm expecting you ALL to behave! LOL...

Well snow sleet and freezing rain we got all 3 but not bad at all supposed to clear up today and get in the upper 30's today so it want last long back down to about 20 tonight and high winds tomorrow so it looks like cold hunting tonight and maybe windy Sat night

Good Morning to all! I'm going insane here....
I saw the online news weather...and they had us in 24-30" and I thought OH PLEASE! So I went to national weather service for a pick me up...LOL... THEY have us in the THIRTY SIX INCHES expected! lol... SIGH... Good food(yummy canned food! lol) Good company, good firewood..... We will be ok I"m sure even with Big Wind....
HOWEVER, I will ask for prayers for my sister and such in Long ISland again... since I have heard they may experience flooding again and lots of those folks in her town are NOT prepared to go thru more flooding..... Another storm that will be a disaster for some.....
ALl of you guys stay safe too where you have weather issues!

Well, I'll be here as long as I can be...and Be assured I'll be cuddled up with warm bodies here watching from INSIDE! I will get as many pix as I can too!!!

WB, it will take 20 inches to fill things up. Lot of catching up to do and I dont see it happening no time soon. The Slough bottoms, including sink holes have been dry for 3 years running.

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez, 33, and Enrico Garza, 36, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11-year-old Patricia Barrington after her father had left their

two-story home.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in S.C and Patricia had been a clay-shooting champion since she was eight.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his

12-gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the

11-year-old's knee-crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds

to his abdomen and genitals.

When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death

before medical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45-caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old Don Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the

chest.

Ever wonder why good stuff never makes NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news........?

An 11 year old girl, properly trained, defended her home, and herself......against two murderous, illegal immigrants.......and she wins,

Howdy!

Checking in to say HI! Got a lil bit on the ground now. Bob ran off to our friends visitation. I decided not to go cause I've had a tummy ache for 2 days... kinda feel like an intestinal nightmare could occur...LOL... He has to get back by 4 pm because... The Governor declared a DRIVING BAN at 4pm for ALL non essential people! AKkk.. This is awful for one reason here... Bob plows his work...with my suburban. IF we get 2 or 3 ft of snow that big old truck...well it will struggle moving THAT! He'll have to trailer over the snow blower too...lol.. what a MESS it will be!
DOgs went out for a FUN run and play... they think it is WONDERFUL...for now.... the birds are insane at the feeders.
James... you can come here and get some truckfuls of snow to fill your dry lands.... we wont have much dry in the wetlands across the street after this!
