Happy'ta hear it Tim! Brandon said she had the potential he just didn't have the time. Kudo's to him for allowin her the opportunity. Should do that myself a bit.

Thanks for keepin me posted on her progress & I look forward to huntin with her. That litter has some very good mouths & the locates are bad to the bone. "Duke" sounds a lot like "Toad" did loadin up on the hardwood. Keep up the good work!

Matt & I took "Patch" out & blew the dust offin him a couple nights ago. Pretty much sat most of the spring & all summer thus far. He put on a clinic treein ahead of & behind. Love how he makes the country echo. We did a purty fair amount of grinning ......

Tom,good seein ya! Hard'ta hide that yeller moto~cycle Thanks for comin along with Mitch & Ann,Zac & Kasey,Trent,Brandon & all the rest I can't remember including our local fellow club members! Meant a lot to see ya all there.

Was a good time & nobody lost an eye or anything

Thanks Perry & Heather as well. Only reach turnin 50 & our 30 anniversary once I guess huh...

Just another example of how lucky we are to have incredible, Hard workin young men for son's as well as their other halves. Can't leave out our grandpups that are growin up WAY TO FAST & kept the secret

We all get together regularly & are a very tight bunch. Ain't a dog, hunt or show that'll trump that. Truly blessed!

Huntin for a buck for my granddaughter this year to take out during the youth season. First of many youth hunts for the next several years that I'm so lookin forward to! Addicted to their grins!

~ Patch ramblin's ~

Jason Bringham in North Carlina Has bred his GrCh "Lucy" female to "Patch" via chilled semen. Our first attempt at this. "Lucy" is outa GrNtCh "Bodascious" & GrNtCh Salin "Sadie". If pedigree's mean anything in outcross' these have potential!

Pleasure workin with you Jason & my fingers & toes (both of'um) are crossed.

"Patch's" semen count was 1.6 billion. They said they needed a count of 200 million to be safe. We can do this now through an outstanding vet that specializes in reproduction. I do the collectin & they do the rest after we deliver. Very smooth process.

Not as spendy as I thought I'm happy to say or that difficult. Deffinately cheaper all the way around than drivin any distance. More convenient to the workin man.

Interested & can help we'll do all we can to get'er done!

My "Buddy" pup outa "Patch" & "Carly" is getting with the program. Learnin to be sneaky & a very quick, hard treedawg. Reminds me of some of his ancestors. Fired up'ta watch him continue to develop. An outcross that's worked.

Congrats Dan!! Duke treed the only two treed in the cast by himself. That's the way to get it done. They was at the Highland, Wisc club.

He also won Best of Show with his "Taz" who is a brother to my "Buddy" outa "Patch" & "Carly". Then won Best of Show with his "Kate" female in her first show!

I'd hav'ta say, he had a pretty good day

Congrats to the Jeff Strowbridge family on their Champion win today with their male they call "Dan", I believe. Memory works if it wants'ta. He's a brother to "Patch" outa "Bum" & "Drum". If I'ma thinkin rite they was at Fosten, Minnesota.

I won Champions with my partially pregnated "Carly" to officially finish her to a GrCh. She's fixin'ta acquire some scars after her pups are weaned & the snow is pilin up. Good day for us.

Duke and The Youngens!

Friday night was indeed a decent night for us! The BOS with Taz and Kate was a good way to start off the night, but winning in the daylight is one thing and winning in the dark is a pretty nice too! Ended up with 1st place open registered with the cw that night which is wut we left the house with the intent to do but we all know it dont always work that way! But apparently Duke left the house with the same intentions! The first 2 drops told the tale, all 3 dogs raced in straight, 2 dogs went to the left and duke wheeled to the right, found himself a tracked, and put it to the wood! Both times alone and both times held the pressure and made it pretty hard to hear much of anything else in the tri-state area! Was pretty nice to see considering his owner aint got him to the timber too much recently! This CW finishes him to NTCH GRCH PR' DOWNING'S TREEIN ALL BLU DUKE! Now time to start chasin some Nite Champion wins towards Dual Grand! We have also added a couple youngens to the fleet of prospects and projects! Heres some pictures for the lookin!

Thank you Heather! We havn't attended much this year but enjoy it when we do.

"Buddy" is my main project. He is coming along extremely nice. Good mouth, very quick & hard treedawg, accurate & can wheel a track. Hustle, personality & intelligence to spare. No lead needed.
He is by "Patch" & "Carly" who is currently bred to the "Bum".

Have a trio of really nice 6 month old females with huge mouths that hate a coon owned by Matt, Ben & myself, all born here. Real nice batch goin into hide season 2013.

Congrats, Crew!

Man, you guys are cleaning up in the hardware department. Thats what happens when you hunt and show good dogs!

Russ, Tim and I are very pleased with the two pups we got from you. Our kill season comes in on Oct. 12th and I can't wait to get those two youngon's some action.

We also purchased a new 16 month old all blue male from Mike Ammons, who by the way sold out completely, including Ringo. This male is doubled up on top and bottom with Bud as well as my old Bonnie female. He shows Bodacius and Broad Ax Bl Max up close as well. Very nice young hound with a great disposition, mouth and isn't hard on the eye either. A little tight on the ground but very accurate. Hopefully this season will make him?? Again, congratulations on all the winnin', keep it up.

Ron

Fun fall ahead Ron :)

Sorry'ta hear bout Mike vacationing from the hounds. I bet he'll be back? Hard'ta get it outa your system. Sounds like you have a very nice young prospect to keep ya fired up! Bred rite as well. Hope he makes ya a dandy hound!

We have messed with all three of our mates to ya'lls a bit. They love the flavor of coon, got big mouths & are ready'ta roll. Personally very excited about watchin'um progress.

Matt's female, tan trimmed model he Named "Molly". Got a big mouth with a lil pitch at the end & thus far tree's with a bawl. The all blue male Dan & I own together I named "Boomer". Never thought I'd take up a dawgs name that-a-way but they've got more "Boomer" in'um than he did himself. For whatever reason seem's appropriate.

I named my all blue female, "Treein Blu Black Betty Bam-a-lam". She has a big heavy bawl mouth, tree's with a chop, velvet hair coat & extremely well put up. Pups been full of giddy-up since I opened the kennel door the first time.

Guess we'll get a taste of how "Duke" is gona reproduce & expectin some good results especially these heavily line bred models. "Drum" been awful good to us in the reproducing department. With her bein mom & grandma to these up's the odds we're hopin.

Best of luck with your youngsters this fall Ron! Lookin forward to updates & maybe some pictures

Heather & Ronald, Thanx! We're havin fun although pretty limited this year. Go when we can. Son's been very busy with work & putting in a bunch of hours. Sure can't complain about their work ethics but I do gota remind'um now & again that there is more to life than work. Then again I tell'um that there's more important things in life than these dawgs as well.

I had my broken shoulder in april that's just gettin'ta where I can use it regular without babyin it. So in true,"Lets screw up my fall fashion",I fell & broke two lower ribs & stressed clean to my sternum this past Saturday. Breathin hurts, movin hurts & doin anything hurts. Puttin a serious damper on my fall activities so I'm doin my best to not agitate it to hopefully help speed up the healin process.

Several have suggested wrappin me up in bubble wrap. Startin'ta think it might be a good idea?

TT, Bob thinks you and I should probably be confined to padded cells??? lol... I have had a few falls myself recently..which is a new thing for me. I'm hoping that my three falls ended it? Bob plans to roll me in tar and cover mw with packing peanuts...LOL.. So far I've not broken any bones(then again I didn't go to hosp. to xray hands and wrists either ) Seriously.. I was bruised but that was it... I have been lucky. I am trying to slow down and be more careful before Bob locks me up!
Take care of yourself dude! Be good but have fun, do as much as you can without risk...
Heather and Bob too

Sorry to hear about the ribs, OUCH! Sounds like y'all's pups are a lot like mine. VERY energetic, bold, very nice clear bawl & chop mouth and hair as smooth as silk. No doubt she is gonna' do something but I have a feeling she is gonna' be a hand full. We named her Connie. I told my grandaughter to name her anything but Cassie or Bonnie who were two of my favorites so she said Connie for the both of them. So thats her name, hope she lives up to it. I'll try to get pic's soon. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
