Not much happening

Around here its hot and to dangerous to hunt. Dogs would have a heat stroke in this weather.
I am out of the hospital and the doctor said he got all of the tumor. It was cancer but doc said it was low grade and I don't have to do chemo or radiation. Go back in 6 months and do test for precaution.
I'm just not really back on my feet yet. Even though it was micro scopic surgery I had 5 incisions and felt like someone stomped my guts.
Tim is in the hay field and or working cattle so we haven't hunted any.
Bred a couple of outside females to Smoke and waiting to see if we get pups.
Bred NiteCh GRCH Mad Dog Two Gun Sally to Deal. She should have pups the first of Sept.
Sold all of Smoke X Wendy pups and they are all gone except for one female. She may be back up for sale if she's not gone by next weekend.

Not much happening

Thanks Roy a bunch we are already enjoying the pup lol. I'm very happy with how she looks. we just got home my little boy brenden was tired lol!

Starting to feel better now. The surgery took more out of me than I thought. LOL I was week as a kitten for about 5 or 6 weeks but back doing good now. Test came back positive for cancer but they got all of the tumor and It was a low grade type so don't think I will have to have chemo or radition.

Thanks to every one for their calls and concern for me during surgery and all. It really meant a lot again Thanks

Hunt

Starting to hunt a bit more. Getting the dust knocked off Deal and Ralph. Went hunting with Paul Friday night he had a john II x Shelly female. Deal went .8 of mile and treed with a coon, she went the other way .4 with a coon. Nice young female.

Ralph

Pat has been hunting Ralph for us for a couple weeks. Pat hunts really hard and can put a lot of finish on a dog. We went Tuesday night and Ralph treed 2 litters and a double. Looked pretty good. Ralph has a good mouth, balls accordingly on track good locate and a hard chop mouth tree dog. He's going to finish into a real classy type of coondog. A good tree picker that has coons when u look up. I'm really liking him. Pat said he treed 3 the other night and held big time pressure on two coons while a young walker dog was trailing all around him.

Pups

Here's a pic of our Smoke x Wendy female. We also have a male and they are 3 1/2 months old. Dad was letting them out in the evenings to run around and they started tracking and treeing wild half grown cats. So we've been working with them a bit. They are super good acting and got us excited. The female has got a lot of tree instincts. They have hunting on their minds when they are loose.

Joey I'm glad your pup is doing good. There's a male in Illinois that I've heard doing good.

Moe

Talked to Earl Nation his moe dog (smoke x drizz) is making a really nice hound. He says he is a superior track dog and has a coon high percentage of the time. While other dogs are jackin around he is out hunting hard and looking for a coon. Earls a pleasure hunter but I'm trying to talk him into taking moe to some hunts because he is ready!

New Addition to Kennel

We are proud to announce that we purchased Ch NtCh Mad Dog The Perculator from Paul Vaughn. We plan to finish her to Dual Gr and eventually breed her to Deal. Perculator is a coon dog. We went huntin w Paul and had a good hunt she treed one by herself @ 675yds and I've seen her get to herself many times and have a coon. She don't say very much on the ground and is a good loud chop mouth tree dog. She hunts hard by herself alone or w company and will go as far as it takes. Thanks Paul for selling her to us!
