Well after a 3.5 hour hunt and the dogs being treed for about 45 mins per tree before my Chubby butt could get to them safely.I decided to take the last coon they treed and packed up for a 35 min walk back to the truck through some ice,snow and rocks and boulders,We made it home and in bed by 1:30am. The wife is so thankful that i decided to stay in tonight ....LOL

looking real good tommy! that is how it's done! i know beyond a shadow of doubt that those walkers are real good! but them walkers ain't met these red dogs yet! and when they do , it is gonna be a free for all! **** i can't wait! i am resting my dogs, i have no doubt that mine will be ready to run when this hunt happens! what date in march? or do ya wanna do it sooner?

Not to good of a night for the hounds I hunted But we were out there & that is all that matters ! They are learning to keep their noses out of places they should not be lol

I don't know Tom, everytime dave goes with Cane he looks like an idiot, prolly doesn't help that the times he hunted with Cane was when he was half dead literally and the first time he was hunted after he was half dead, lol.........i think he's gonna ss/ perf max and breed him to Lil........are your dogs ok Tom?

i have cought my owen dogs in my traps befor and other trappers traps as well just get them out and go on.a freand of mine cought vegas in a trap by his house one night 2 years ago i tracked vegas dowen and that sucker would not not even bark in the trap soon as i pulled in to the mans house he told me he had some yot traps out i told him vegas was in one of them but would not bark so he went with me and vegas was just wagging his tail like he was glad to see us we got him out of the trap and went on and treed 2 coon after that the same night.the next day i went to his house and took some better yot traps and set them 4 him so he could get rid of the yots and we are still good freands,hope your dog is ok it is them dam snares that i dont like they kill a dog quick.

BUDDY HUNT AT CHESTER BERKS

I had to work this weekend day 12 Saturday & Sunday. But i met up with one cast that hunted local and we had a great cast lead by One of our buddy's hunting his Becky dog and a pup out of her, that belonged to a young gentleman that is local Bred, Raised and trained coondog That had 2 coons split treed and by himself. We ended up seeing 4 coon and had a good time although the dogs for the most part hunted all over the place. We had i believe 16 people and 10 dogs that hunted out of the club in 3 cast .Wish i would have gotten some more pics. Heres a few of the local BLUE POWER we have at the Club which is about 75% Blueticks.

Weather has been getting better around here lately! Took Beau and Belle out Saturday nite for a drop each. Beau treed a coon in less than 2 min. 447 yd from the truck. Nice big coon!

Another of Beau under the coon.

Belle dog had a colder track. Took her almost 30 min. to tree this 1. She did a nice job track to tree.

Funny pic of her bein goofy at the tree.

Went out tonight with Beau and Davies dog Tom. Didn't take a camera bc of the rain. 1st track was slick, 2nd ended at a hole, 3rd they had a coon up. Was lookin forward to havin a little bit better of a nite, but I guess the dogs got some rust to work off.

Anyone else do any good?

Those are some nice pics of the blue dogs and the walker dog.

**** tommy sorry to hear about the trap deal, looks like it only caught 2 toes and didn't hurt your hound any! that is good! coulda been worse! thank god it was a minor thing! that hound won't even remember it much except for the scent it aquired at the trap location itself! and what that scent had in store for it! lol!

Glad to see you Western PA guys are starting to get a break.I belong to a camp in the bottom of clearfield co. and was wondering what for snow was still on the ground. We might head out in FEB for a long weekend.

Snow does not bother me unless its crusted over or deep, But if you have porky"s up that way i would have to leave the old dog home... I've tried her twice and she just does not get it.....Loves to chew on em
