Went to Belleville, Il. today and came back across I-64---you guys will like this one--somebody nailed a coyote rolled 'em up like a rug. One less game moocher. All the coons didn't get goodyeared your way Spotty. I believe we may have plenty too hunt this season.

yeah i tried to get on here earlier too,,so i goofed around went to 3or 4other forums on prospecting ,then came back here. im still trying to figure out why this site is always on the fritz !!

Good morning I had problems too. TD has called coyote before but not had much luck. Before we got rid of our goats a few years ago they started disapearing. Figured out it was coyotes The young ones would just disappear. Then they started on some of the bigger ones. Went out to feed one time and a coyote followed them in from pasture but wouldn't you know didn't have a gun so got away. You can hear them howling all the time around here.

Do you use shotgun or long range centerfire ??

both depending what the cover is..in the brush and thickets,I use the old 10 ga..its good out to about 80 yards with 3 1/2 BB magnums....out in open country 243 rem 700.125 grain bullet

Anybody heard from Mike today??? Pretty breezy out there this morning don't think I'll be walking in the woods today or anywhere near the walnut trees. Rex do you sell coyote pelts too?

yea ,but I don't sell them here to the fur market..I sell mine to a guy in Texas,Taxidermy guy...heres a ground hog I sent him this spring..got 40 bucks out of the whistle pig.......he pays the over night shipping on the hides I send him..I just skin them ,take them to the post office and send them on their way.in a week or so I get a certified check or a money order in the mail...

Sorry Guys, That stuff Chuck sent is pretty interesting. Did you find anything when you panned yesterday? Rex Daryl could probably get you a ground hog from his mom's there is one over there driving her crazy. Are there only certain times you can get ground hogs?

heres a yote he did for this winter..best shot I ever made with 243.....the little bullet hit about an inch lower than what I was aiming...i took a hail mary shoot ,didn't think I would come close..the instant I touched it off, he dropped out of view of the scope.hit the deck stone cold dead..my mouth was hanging wide open ,I couldn't believe it..I have one of those wheels you roll across the ground to take measurements like a surveyor uses ..I rolled it out ...528 yards...I sent him this yote and 2 others ,he tanned it out mailed it back and said I should keep it as a trophy..soI gave him the other 2 hides..
