Thanks Corky but I decided a deer wasn't important enough to go out in this. Maybe if it lets up I will go out this evening.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnais
e jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand.The students laughed..

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.

Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.' The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.

Hello!

I'm a bit tired but I'm here! Was scrubbing kitchen floor at mums last night at 11 pm...lol.. with a toothbrush. I got a bit involved...but only worked on a couple lil spots. ONE of these days I'm gonna do the WHOLE thing and let the other people work there know it is TAN AND WHITE not black or brown and white! Had a superb visit with mum, got lots done, got home to watch the Pats clinch the division and here I am.
I thought I'd work on pix at mums but since I WORKED till late I didn't get on the comp.... I will do them someday!

Sorry bout your deer hunting weather not working out John! Glad you had the sense to stay IN!
Warm here too...around 50 maybe and supposed to get warmer the next couple days...then rain maybe?
OK... gonna finish up browsing on here and see what happened all weekend and will seeya later if I come back or tomorrow..........

Morning all,
Kind of quiet in here.
Had a good weekend, Shot one out Friday night with just my two dogs, treed another but did not shoot it out. Went Saturday night with a buddy treed and shot two out.
Done some yard work and some truck maintence Saturday. Got more meat marinating to make sure more deer jerky. Hopefully I will get some of this batch.
Since I have four deer in the freezer not really planning on doing much more deer hunting.

You might be on to something there, could explain the absence's lately.

"Put them back, we can't afford them" demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping.

A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket.

"What do you think you're doing?" asks the husband.

"It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful," replies the wife.

Her husband retorts: "So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price."

That's him on Aisle 5 - he never knew what hit him...

Hi there everyone.
Corky, I got some rest today...had the weirdest dream that BEARS were chasing me and mum all thru her house and we had JUST gotten the darned bears out the door and we were safe...when some BAD guys broke in and then we were looking for hiding places...lol... Phone rang...which is Webster howling and Wyatt baying... and I was trying to SLIENCE the thing and I woke up... Wasn't it real and the Drs office confirming an appt for tomorrow am? LOL.. For some weird reason they call my cell not home phone. IT was so funny that it was in the dream.... I wanted to go back to sleep so I could find a safe hiding place...but I couldn't. lol....

John, the Pats won BUT... there was one play towards the end of the game where we NEARLY blew it. Not sure what happened to our defense at that moment? We were lucky I think...better shape up or we'll deserve not to go on much further.....
Was in the 50s today here, nice. Bob will ride bike tomorrow since the roads will be dryer....then he'll wash the bike for winter..... Supposed to be about the same tomorrow I guess.
OK... off to see wassup with everyone and find some nice pix of last nights hunts etc........

From what I have heard from a couple different people that this was around Ferrum. I have heard other people say they have seen them but of course the DNR knows of no such thing.

WB the red solo cups must not have stopped with the weekend we have a few MIA in here.

Good morning to all my sweet friends !!! How in the world are you !! Boy, I've missed every one !! Me and strawberry have been at dads the weekend and going back today to help him with the christmas lights ... I just don't want him climbing the ladder alone, if we're not there ..... He'll do it himself ...

I've been coon hunting but instead saw "dilla's" ... The other half is learning how to be humble ..... Lol ... With that red dog... He even posted on the coonhound thread "dang dilla's " and question about how to break your dog from running trash ... and only one person has responded and 400 "viewed" hahahahaha.. Poor thang... We had one run right behind us there is so many !!

I better get Christian to school ill be right back ..

James Jonathan is going to try the prank !! He loved it !! Bah hahaha

Morning all Dropped Willow and Samantha last night now I remember why I do do hunt them two huzies together much any more they are a good pair work well with each other about as good as any pair I have ever had but you had better have your boots laced up and ready to go. You know they should have a competition where you can hunt a pair of dogs together as a team I think that would be fun

Hi Everyone!

Well... I am exhausted ALL over again today! LOL... the Baby was here, Riley, who's dad was living with us for a while... and we Danced and Danced and Danced to teh same Cristmas song OVER and OVER and "dance" should have been in quotes cause I CANNOT dance! lol... Had a BLAST though.
Was warm but damp today... so I never did warm up much but not too shabby. Felt for Bob riding the bike though... he didn't complain and he gave it a bath when he got home and he's happy.
Willow and Samantha would be GREAT for ME to hunt since I could use a few LONG walks to get my weight back in check...lol... I can't stop eating lately!
