Sheba 11

Took Sheba out for a run tonight. took her back up river next to the cattle farm. Cast her down a drain and she went down the drain for about 300 yards and turned east for another 300 yards and then south for almost 400 yards. She hit a branch that goes back to the river road on its way to the river. Traveled it to about 200 yards before she got to the road and headed north. She was about 250 yards from me and she just locked up treed. I went toward and she was only about 25 yards off the old woods road. I walked in to her and she was treed up a gum tree with a lot of vines in the top. I reached for my squaller and realized I had left it at home. I walked in and shook some vines. I never did see anything and I think she just missed him. We loaded up on the 4-wheeler and headed to the river. I turned her down another branch. She went in about 350 yards and struck a pretty good track. Moved it on in another 100 yards and locked up treed. I rode around the road until I was even with her and walked on in. She was treed up an oak tree and I found the coon pretty quick. I took a couple of pictures and we left this one to run again. We called it a night.

Sheba 11

I traveled down to Folsom, La. today to pick up my Sheba 11 female from the Gary Green Vetenary Clinic where she was surgically bred. I been waiting a long time to put this old Hammer and Smokey River blood back togeather. Now I guess I will just have to play the waiting game and see if there are any pups.

I will put the pedigree up a little later when I can tell a little more about Sheba.


Scott, how is everything going up in your country. I hope it's getting a little warmer up there and your able to get the hounds in the woods. We are still getting more than our share of the rain. Take care and good hunting.

I recently bought a male that will be two on May 1. He is outta the smilin bob and Sheba cross. Very independent and a big houndy dog that is a hard tree dog. Plan to hunt him at bluetick days in Ohio.

Sheba's pups were born June 15. They were a week old yesterday. She had 12 pups, one was born dead and the other 11 are still doing fine. Sheba is a wonderful mother. There are 5 males and 6 females. There are a few spoke for, but if I can finish raising all of them There will still be a few for sale. Pups will be $350 each. Performance paid up. Dream Litter

Those are beautiful Mr Jack and represent a Lifetime Of careful, select breeding on your part. I have No Doubt there is future Coonhounds in that Litter with several being extra special. I would love to have one but don’t hunt the ones I have enough. Looking for Rose to come in so I can breed her to Bocephus and have a litter of my on to worry with. Best of luck with those and I surely hope some top houndsmen will give these pups a chance. They won’t be disappointed if they do. Take Care and holler at me sometimes.
