Hey Bryan, Shaker, Jiggs and Zoey decided to go almost as far as Annie and Shaker did that nite we ended up at the river. Almost think it was a bobcat though, they left several trees before we caught up to them in a huge dozepile. Took us quite a while to get 'em outta there.

Of course I'd take that pile anyday over getting shot at like last nite. Gonna have a little chat with the game warden about those people.

SAVE THE COON, HUNT WITH A HOUND!

Getting shot at now, that's not cool. We had a guy around here a few years back that would shoot up into the air when we turned loose across the road from his place. What's his deal do ya know? We have practice both sat and sunday so this weekend won't work for me. might just have to hook up for a hunt over thanksgiving.

We've always heard shooting coming from that house since those people moved in. Be out hunting and could hear bullets going thru the trees, think they're just shooting in any direction but at least they could shoot into a bank or ditch instead of into the timber where there's no backstop. Dad said he's gonna talk to the warden to see if he can do something about it. I know the other nite those bullets were hitting awful close to me and my nephew. loaded my rifle just in case when I went after the dogs.

I took the friday after TG off from work so I'd have a 4 day weekend. If you're gonna be able to make it down just let me know. Should be a few big boys wanderin' 'round then.

I think I could come down wed night if you want to go for a hunt. I don't know if I'd be able to bring a dog. I'll see if amy is planning on coming down wed night. If not maybe I could just drive down thurs seperate and stay and hunt thurs night. That way I could possibly bring a dog then.

Ya that's the plan gonna hit both her parents sides. Oh JOY. Let's plan on that then. That will work out good. I'll ride down with amy do the family thing and she can ride back with her sister who is spending the weekend here. Another oh joy. I guess at least I will have someone to watch tyler so I can hunt friday when amy's working.

Took a buddy and his 4 year old out tonight for a little a hunt. His boy thought that was the coolest thing. Got right in there and was a trooper. Even asked if we cold eat him when we got home.

Hey Corey

What the heck are you doing up this late??? I thought school teachers went to bed early, so they were ready for classes the next day. Have a happy Thanksgiving vacation and give me a holler, if you're ever over this way. Take care, Ron.

Teachers, body men, managers it doesn't matter we are a breed of our own. Like to howl at the moon many hours in the night!

Ron

Just got in from hunting. I'll give ya a call if i head that way this week. Other than thurs or friday I'm not sure what my plans are for this weekend yet. Have a good thanksgiving.

had a real good night till I came home and found my neighbor driving around spot lighting from his four wheeler. I got woke up sat night from the dogs going crazy and heard some shots but they weren't from a 22 so I thought someone just smoked a deer. Heard them again last night when I was skinning a few out in the garage so we went out to investigate. He was using a 20 gauge to shoot them out. I guess that answers the question of all the shots we have been hearing. Ticks me off to no end. I'd love to turn the sob in but his half nuts and I wouldn't put it past him to do something stupid. We already have had a few run ins.

Corey, always kinda figured you for being about half nuts too, i wouldn t let a little thing like that stop ya lol.

I know exactly what ya mean though, when you are kinda partial to one of these potlickers you reevaluate the priority of the situation.

First season has come and gone, i think the spotlighters been thinning down the shooter bucks here. Only one possible booner sighted with 2 other 140 classers. I never had opportunity to put the crosshairs on a good one. We did some serious herd management though lol.

I am off thurs-sunday if you get down this way. I got a few empty kennels. I think our coon population is the best i have ever seen. Even these culls manage to tree one every now and then.

Posted by Hawk32 on 11-24-2008 04:23 PM:

Tony
you're probably right. The last conversation I had with this man prior to last night ended with me threatening to kick his a$$ off my yard. We were having a very pointless land dispute. Getting lawyers and everything else was yelled back in forth as well. The worse part of the deal is he had his kid out there with him. What a good thing to teach your kid. I really wanted to bring that up to him.

Amy and I are heading down to FM thurs and I think I'm staying down there hunting with Steve Brecount thurs night. Maybe I can talk amy into going to down wed night and I'll come hunting. My deer season hasn't been very productive. Haven't seen one deer from stand worth shooting. Hopefully gonna get out this weekend but there is a holiday doe season going on. One of Iowa's finer moments archery hunting and shotgun hunters in the same woods at the same time. Smart uh.

Man, that shootin' part don't sound good. You might want to take a turkey or holiday ham over and give it to him. Maybe that would get you on his good side. Take care, Ron.
