Hello all, Well the boss decided to come home Saturday instead of Sunday. So that means I had to spend all day Saturday doing what I was supposed to be doing during the week instead of hunting. It is such a good thing that my wife's grandfather hunted till he was 81 or I would be in big trouble.
Planning on Ferrum this weekend but stuck working nights again this week. They are killing my hunting time.

Glad you had a good trip. Tell Brandon to keep pushing he is number 2 and that is definately something to be proud of.

All's well here. Not sure what the heck I did all day! I know I got a nap in and enjoyed some time outside with the dawgs. OH, I KNOW... I caught up on a couple tv shows I miss with FOOTBALL... and I AM glad the Pats are 4-3 now But I'm telling you... that game stank! We didn't deserve the win! We are NOT playing like a Good team yet this year. Must be the redsox wearing off on them? lol...
It was another beautiful day here about 60 and sunny. I HAD to Thank God for this wonderful Oct. day while I stood in the sun and watched the dogs smelling critters etc.... It was another GIFT!

I spent a couple hours today so far dealing with cropping pix to get them ready to go to photobucket. Once I move some I'll show you all a few on here...but not today. I'm too tired.... and trying to do this AND the debate.... lol

I sure do wish that I could spend a week with some one , just to teach me some things that would help me in a hunt and how to train my blue .. There's soooo much to learn .. It over whelms me sometimes .. But I'm all in ... Until the very end !!

I am no expert but I have been doing this a long time. If you can put up with me my wife and my kids and an old English hound
you and the kids are welcome to come up here, I will try to help you get Blue going.

Three bulls heard via the grapevine that the rancher was going to bring another bull onto the ranch, and the prospect raised a discussion among them.

The first bull says, "Boys, we all know I've been here 5 years. Once we settled our differences, we agreed on which 100 of the cows would be mine. Now, I don't know where this newcomer is going to get HIS cows, but I ain't' givin' him any of mine."

The second bull says, "That pretty much says it for me, too. I've been here 3 years and have earned my right to the 50 cows we've agreed are mine. I'll fight 'im till I run him off or kill 'im, but I'M KEEPIN' ALL MY COWS."

The third bull says, "I've only been here a year, and so far you guys have only let me have 10 cows to "take care of". I may not be as big as you fellows yet, but I am young and virile, so I simply MUST keep all MY cows."

They had just finished their big talk when an eighteen-wheeler pulls up in the middle of the pasture with only ONE ANIMAL IN IT: the biggest Son-of-Another-Bull these guys had ever seen! At 4700 pounds, each step he took toward the ground strained the steel ramp to the breaking point.

The first bull says, "Ahem...You know, it's actually been some time since I really felt I was doing all my cows justice, anyway. I think I can spare a few for our new friend."

The second bull says, "I'll have plenty of cows to take care of if I just stay on the opposite end of the pasture from HIM. I'm certainly not looking for an argument."

They look over at their young friend, the third bull, and find him pawing the dirt, shaking his horns, and snorting up a storm.

The first bull says, "Son, let me give you some advice real quick. Let him have some of your cows and live to tell about it."

The third bull says, "Heck, he can have ALL my cows. I'm just making sure he knows I'M a bull !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon friends !!

Well yesterday evening was one to remember !! I took my youngest son hunting ... We sat in the same deer stand and I can't even type all that happened .. But I will say it's always a blessing and such a joy to witness such a priceless and rememberable moment As watching your child kill his very first deer !! I coached him right along .. But honestly .. He did it all by his self.. And he acted as he'd done this a 100 times .. I'm very proud of him !! He's going back tonight to see if he can see one if the biggest bucks I've seen in a long time !! Christian couldn't get a shot on him yesterday .. But will keep trying he said ... It's a small deer he shot last night ... But I told him , it was ok... And now that he's got that out of the way ... He's ready for the "big" buck .. just simply priceless !! Mother and son !!

John you are the sweetest for the invite !! I would love to come up.. And I never mind what color I hunt with .. Lol .. ... No reds ... Lol. Jk !! Thank you so very much .. Guess I just have soooo many question and want to learn so much .. That not many people have the time to spend answering my 100000000 questions .. And I don't blame them ... I simply just get excited about hunting!!

Pt.. Don't work to hard .. We'll save you a coon or two .. Lol.. Now James is the one that seems to work almost 24/7's .. Geeee don't know how he's does it.. And have all the engery !! I'm beat when I get home .. But my second job starts when I get home .. Didn't go to bed last night till 1:30 .. Studying .. It seems it's the only time I have that some ones not asking me for something .. But my nights are always like that .. Don't sleep much ..

Hello everyone, it was another unseasonably warm day here. Although it rained off and on all day it was still in the low 70's.

James - thanks for the laughs.

Shannon - tell the young man congratulations. That is very nice that you were able to be in the stand and witness Christian's first deer. That is a special moment that you both will remember the rest of you lives.

Corky - I agree, I don't think there is any way to fix those horns to make them eatable.
