Terry Goza sent over a picture. He & his boys, and Scott Johannamire & his boys won Decorah club's wild coon hunt this past weekend. This was the third year in a row they've won it. Congrats guys!

Bill took the redbones for a couple drops the other night and this is what they came home with!!! )) The dogs caught the coon on the left ON the ground!!!! The bigger coon on the right is a 30 pounder!!! They made quick work of that track and got her treed ASAP!!!! )

I agree, Brandon. Definitely dreaming about bluedawgs.....you can tell because there is no smile on their faces. It might even be a nightmare!!!!

.....actually, based on the sign that is hanging above them, I'd say it's likely their dreaming about fishing......

Shot this one at 7:20 this morning. Heading out in the morning for the very last day of bow season before rifle season. Unfortunately, I have to shoot a doe before I get another buck tag, so hoping that I can make that happen and get the hat trick....

I forgot to update a few pics from Aubrey's last hunt before gun season opened up last weekend. He took Tater and Cherry and had a good hunt. Tater looked good, and Cherry is coming along, getting better every night out.

A friend of ours is heading south for the winter, and needed to cut back on his herd, so we took on this little project. She's 1 1/2 yrs old, and a keeper. Just got her yesterday, and she will already do anything you ask. We call her Pepper.

I went out for one drop last night. Chief and Jr took a track up a creek and ran a good track in deep and treed with a coon. There was a couple of bucks chasing a doe all around. Here's a couple pictures.

Thanks, Jesse. We do enjoy the long-ears. A good one is like a good hound.....don't want to leave home without them!

Aub's hunted a few nights this past week. Took Sunni, Tater, and Dice the one night. Dogs hunted hard and put up 10 total. The next night he took Clyde, Foxxy, and Cherry. Foxxy just came out of heat, so is pretty out of shape, but the dogs did good and treed 4 on the outside. Not many pics to update. The camera bit the dust the second night! Gonna have to get the new one set up.

I went out for a quick drop. Dogs struck a good hard running coon which taught them a trick or two. But they did tree it up a small tree about the size of my leg.

Brandon i got that one in the same valley you got your big coon in.

Aub's been getting out some this week. Enjoying the weather, having some good hunts, and getting some repetitions for the young dogs. He's still trying to figure out this new camera, so pictures have been sporadic. He's getting better with it every night though. Here are some highlights...

I guess its a good thing we got plenty of back-up dogs to run.....I think almost every one of the dogs he's been running are chewed up or limping to some extent! The pups are getting some good exposure.

hunting pictures

I went out last night before the snow came. Had a pretty good hunt first drop went to a den. Then they came back so i sent them again and they got out six hundred yards and circled back another drawl and Chief got treed with the coon my light quit so i had a hard time shooting the coon with a 2 cell flashlight. But i was able to hit it. Than like a fool i cut loose again went to a den.

The dawgs are looking AWESOME, the mules great, the KIDS are growing like weeds and that coon was NOT on a very good "tree"!

Thanks Heather! As far as that coon goes......I guess that is part of coonhunting......never know what you're going to see next!
