Welcome BuggyPaulus 5! Enjoy that sweet tea! Our Beloved BnT FOster, Uma, now deceased.. came from a shelter in NJ as a stray... Loved that gal!

Shannon, Glad you are feeling better now!

SO... Our grandbaby has a HEARTBEAT! OUr son and his wife went for their first pregnancy visit today! I was so excited and relieved!
My Drs appt was fine. I like the lil dude... he is very small and kinda young but very thorough. I will go back in a month and hopefully he will have been able to wade thru my records by then?????May take a year! lol... I lot a flu shot and pneumonia shot... yippee.... TOok no time at all and I was back home! YAY!
Got home to sad news though. My mums next door neighbor and friend, John Silber, former BU president and candidate for Gov of MA(Democrat but we'll forgive him He was very conservative in many ways!)... had died in his sleep early this morn. I spent many a day and night in their home when he was pres. of BU. His daughter Martha was a close friend and his other daughters my friends as well.... My Mum was quite sad but glad he is no longer ill(kidney issues).... He was 7 yrs younger than her though...so it was even sadder for her. His family was by his side and now he joins his lovely wife and his Lord.... Our folks are getting old... all my girlfriends from home are saddened... I am glad I saw him 3 yrs ago at Mums 90th Bday party and got to knoe him as an adult on equal planes... as a child he was such a BIG MAN! The obituaries are Nationwide.... I imagine it was big news tonight but I didn't have the heart to turn on the local news.... After all to me these were my next door neighbors....and my dear friends.... They are in many thoughts and Prayers....
The weather was amazing. Sun was shining and the temp was around 70... Hard to feel bad about being alive today!

Hiring Tate's Hell Check Station Operator

Hey guys, if you know anyone that might be interested let them know. Ideal candidates would be students interested in a career in wildlife management or wildlife law enforcement, maybe looking to get a foot in the door with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission?

I will be hiring a Deer Check Station Operator for the 2012-13 hunting season. The person selected for this position will be responsible for taking morphological measurements from hunter-harvested deer on Tate's Hell State Forest and surrounding areas. This person will use a FWC vehicle to travel thorughout the forest and find hunters that have harvested deer. They will weigh deer, remove deer jaw for aging purposes, and take antler measurements. Work hours will be 40 per week [Wednesday through Sunday (10am - 6pm)] from November 1, 2012 through February 15, 2013. $7.50/hour.

This is a OPS temporary position that does not offer benefits. This is not a law-enforcement position.

Required Qualifications: Honest, hard-working, dependable, courteous.
Desired Qualifications: Hunting experience, experience taking morphological measurements from deer
