All walkers except for 1 Plott 2 Blueticks 1 English and 1 Redbone looks like it will be a walker or a redbone world champion this year

and oh yea Link could hunt year round in tennis shoes and shorts

Last nights hunt

Took Frog and one of her 5 month old pups last night.
This was Hazel's first time for pretty much everything, first time riding in truck, first time to the woods........she did see her first coon last saturday and that's it. So off to the woods I went with one female that is fat, out of shape and just came in heat and a 5 month old daughter of Frog. Well, we made 3 trees and saw 6 coon....not bad. I was impressed with Hazel and her first time. Here are some pics.

Frog on the Second tree of the night.

While taking pics of frog, I noticed Hazel starting to get excited while she was running around, she was smelling the coon scent on the ground and she opened a few times. Then, she decided to join her mom at the tree.

Then she decided, well, maybe I should do what momma's doing.....

She joined in a little at the next tree too.

Not to bad for a 5 month old pups first trip to the woods and has only seen one coon, no hides or drags yet, even though that is coming soon. She acknowledged the coon scent and it got her excited and she did what should come naturally. I was happy. Now granted, she is 5 months old, so while we were walking to turn frog loose again, she discovered cow poop and decided it tasted good......well, it came back up on the ride home.... [/B][/QUOTE]

Great weather here. In the 40's at night and near 70 during the day.

Dave - I put in for the whole first week of coon season. I will let you know as soon as I get it approved. I think I can get the whole week off. I should find out for sure next week.

Sorry I was not here yesterday but we got 13 palletts of replacement roof shingles delivered on a Bigazz tractor trailer on our half repaved really narrow scenic road... and I Got To help as Bob ran the big old Lull to get the palletts off (HE HAD A BLAST!!!! I snapped a few pix) Anyway...I got to direct traffic and the driver got to rest some(nice guy...and we didnt' tell him till Bob had the LAST pallett off he had JUST learned to operate the lull and had NEVER used anything like it before...LOL...) Anyway...it took TONS of concentration and I didn't take my ritalin till later in the aftn... so I struggled and did fine.... The truck driver told me Bob ran the machine BETTER than MOST of the guys he deals with who have done it for yrs! I was real impressed but Bob learns real fast so not surprised. Kenny wouldn't have let him use the thing if he didn't feel 100% sure he could...cause we BORROWED the thing! lol... what a day but Bob and I were BOTH exhausted with the excitement...Plus my son, Richard came by for a nice visit...and then our carpenter did...But the time all was done I had a BIG salad for dinner and BIG DRINK(amaretto on the rocks)... and I sat in front of the tv till I fell asleep on the sofa...lol... and went up to bed at 4 am.... I would have sounded like a zombie if I came on yesterday...more than normal! lol...
Tomorrow I'll work for Mum and will drop off all the clothes we cleaned and organized to go to charity from my sisters dehoarding. My friend Diana will meet me at mum's to pick up. Her cancer surgery went WELL! THey feel they got ALL they needed in her neck and lymph nodes. Not sure when they will look into some spots on her lungs...but more prayers will always be welcome!
OK... gotta finish up on here and get some rest! Have a great night, HappyHunting and I'll see ya maybe on Sunday??? WHile I watch the Patriots game...and they better Beat the Ravens....LOL... or I'll be GRUMPY!

King Richard right after I hung up the phone from talking to you yesterday whamo I got copper head bit for for the 3rd time in my life right in the wrist oh well a least it was a small one he was hanging out in the step ladder over by the building never saw him untill after I picked it up and started to walk away then ouch there he was hanging on to my wrist must have been using it for a sunning perch

I am fine and the snake is too or at least he the last I saw of it and no I did not go to the doctor what I call a dry bite got bit back in 97 and hurt andy burned and I knew he had either injected venom or tried because you could see that sent me to the emergency room at one in the morning

Richard I was done digging the hole and was going to work on the roof but I just in case I thought I might need some apple pie you know and apple a day keeps the doctor away
