Howdy All!

Another busy day here... and it was awesome out again, a bit over 60...and sunshiny! Got to visit tons today with my son and his fiancee...a nd Bob took Webster for a hike long enough that I CALLED him and TEXTED him(he didn't hear the phone...)... He was gone almost three hours! LOL... They GREAT thing is he ran into a group of boyscouts out hiking and they were the age to be reading Where the Red Fern Grow! It was SO cool for some "city" kids to meet a real live (kind of...LOL) Coonhound! They were SO HAPPY! Dawg and Bob got home and Webster wanted to go RIGHT out for a hike on the neighbors after we made him find me in the "coontree" where I have one of the cams set up... LOL.. He went after the MARSHMELLOWs and I finally had to make a noise... and I then realized the cam was snapping off pix! My son RIchard got a kick out of seeing me in a tree for the first time in MANY years... (I was up about 3 feet max...LOL)

NO JOHNNY... I REALLY don't wanna post those pix! I look a mess... LOL...

JUST REMEMBER,

Leopards are all business[the looks are just extra], and they have a head full of sense. But I love them all [all 7 breeds], I have seen good and bad in all of them. I had 2 leopard pups when I got hurt 6 months ago, and I thought I would never be able to hunt again, so I sold one and gave one back to the breeder, and he told me that he would give me another pup when I was ready for one. So I have got a leopard pup coming someday,[ when he breeds again], plus I have a 4 month old english pup now, so, color to me dont matter. Anyway, all of the hounds done a good job. GOD REALLY BLESSED US ON OUR TRIP TO THE NORTH COUNTRY. GOD BLESS YALL ALL.

It does sound like a fine trip. Did you go to hunt or did you just get lucky and get to hunt? I understood you had to go as a family matter. I look for a dog more like a "hunting buddy", one that is ready to quit when I am or stay as long as I am. I am partial to any breed that can read my mind. With that many coons available was there anytime you'll had to call them out or did you just leash up at the last tree. or did you even have to leash up? just say"load' and follow the dogs back to the truck? That's my ideal but don't get it often.

Since you can't even tell us the county, please fill in alot of details on the dog work. Thanks.

By the way, by reading old soldier diary, I found that they had a first frost in Tennessee on September 23 1861 when the Warren Guards, which became Company B of the 16th Regiment Tennessee Infantry left Big Spring Rd Near Green Briar Ridge,TN.

Are we having Global Warming or Cooling? Anybody from thereabouts?

Mornin all! Still alive and well! Wish it would hurry up and cool off again! 55 this morning. Will be back down around 50 in the mornings in a few days I hear. Need more coffee! One cup ain't enough!

Never got a nap in lol... THE PHONE rang of course! It ALWAYS does... if I WANT someone to call I just have to doze! Today it was a HANG UP CALL! AKkk... LOL..

Johnny, the pix are really not worth posting... but I put them in photobucket... In Webster's album... cause he is SO cute watching me set up marshmellows for the critters... He wanted them BAD!

Rob, Glad you're back and your comp. is back online... we DO get dependent on this... As for those miners... SHUDDER! I can't imagine being stuck under there! The first (and last I think) Sculpture I ever sold... was a wax model of a mule and miner coming out of the mines after a hard days work. It was in a student exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and someone asked my teacher if they could BUY it! I think I sold it for 15 bucks or so... I would pay a LOT more to have it back now.... Dumb Kid! Mining is not a job for most! Hoping they all get out without any setbacks...
