I get frustrated sometimes I can't make it to more hunts, but you're right Jake, he is only 2 yrs old. I just really wanna see an all GrNtCh pedigree, even though it won't change anything.

Pups are due July 1st, but I have a feeling they will be June pups. Tramp's bday is in 3 days, looking like there could be some shared birthdays.

I feel like the pics don't do her justice. These pics were taken yesterday and today her belly is inches off of the ground, and she is very uncomfortable. I am like a kid before Christmas right now.

Thanks Scott, he is a fun dog to hunt. I'm looking into changing my career, and if I do I may be able to make it to more hunts. Big life decision to make for me.

Still waiting for Tramp x Dot pups to arrive. I had guessed she wouldn't make it to the weekend, but it's looking like she is gonna hold onto them a little longer. Still not due till tomorrow or July 1st, depending on which day you go by that she got locked up.

I traded Josie today to Boone Brandau for his female out of GrNtCh Kaskaskia Buster x NtCh Kaskaskia Trudy. Hopefully they each suit us a little better. I spent some time with her in the yard today to bond a little, and I am really liking her personality. I can't wait to go turn her loose. Tempted to tonight when I get off of work at midnight....

It has been quite a while since I took an actual camera to the woods, so tonight Nikki let me take hers, which is a little nicer than anything I've ever had.

Treed some coon tonight, but it sure wasn't like I thought it would be. Tracks at 11 pm sounded like something you'd expect to encounter at 4 am. This bright moon may have the coon moving early. Nikki was positive she saw a coon in our Mulberry tree earlier today around 5pm.

Anyways, here is some pics. Here is a pic from the first dump where I cut Tramp and his daughter, Stamp. She is right around 11 mos old, and is ready for some solo time and some fur.

Here are 2 different pics I liked from the 2nd tree. We ended the night in a hole, where Rain found her way face to face with a coon, and Tramp tried to help get it out, but I got them caught before it ended up into a big fiasco.

Cub said I gave up the NTCH win by being too honest about minusing a tree, but wasn't sure if a coon was there or not. Glad to hear a blue dog got the win & not a walker. Glad I got a little hardware for the CW. Take care, Ron.

Congrats to you and JoAnn on winning Queen. I made a handling error at the end of my hunt that cost me 125 points. Up until then I had a 200 point lead, so it made the last few minutes of the hunt interesting. I was shocked we had enough for the NtCh win. Go figure, the 2nd lowest CW score I've had this year, and it ends up being his 1st win towards NtCh.

I wouldn't go that far Clyde. I would be more confident to say that about Bo, because I spent a lot more time in the woods with him. Tramp is very easy to call most of the time so it makes my job easy. Saturday night for instance, he was treed for probably 30 min before I put him on the paper. I think due to the heat, and dew not settling yet, he was hot and throwing more bawls than anything, not treeing hard, but not wanting to leave the area either. I finally decided to tree him, for I was starting to become worried about his well being with the heat, and it resulted in 225+. He has done that to me one other time in a hunt when conditions were tough in the heat. Otherwise, he is a distinct bawl on track, and hard chop on tree.

8-11-15 HUNT

Went hunting with Buck and Blaze, and I was very impressed with Blaze. I think he is going to have some pups soon out of him if anyone is interested. Every tree made had a coon in it, was nice to get out again and tree some coon with a good friend. It has definitely not been one of my best summers for hunting. Here are some pics I took.
