its a tuff winter when you see a coon at 3:00 pm along a road eating another dead coon. If this weather don't warm up, the coon population is going to be hurting.

Don't worry, I went home & put a log in the stove. CUB was squellin about how tough it was out there. Breaking thru crust, then hit slick ice patches & went over his chaps when he steeped in a ditch. Said not to call him till this crap is gone!!! Treed 1 coon & 3 coon on the 2 casts though. Take care, Ron.

if the coon are out, it isn't going to be to hard to tree one. the coon ive seen in the last couple weeks don't look like they could run very fast..looked purty weak.

its nice when you can walk on top. but where the snow is the deepest is where a guy will bust thru. that is hard on the knees and back.

-13 this morning

Here in the valley & not suppose to hit 20 above thru next Wed.. Sure don't know what we did to deserve this winter!!! We'll be in March before this spell ends. Anybody got any extra hay for sale (delivered)?? Take care, Ron.

WE are under a blizzard warning because of blowing snow. Winds 20 t0 35MPH and actual temps 22 below zero tonite.This winter is really hard on all game. There are a few coon moving in the day time but I think there has been a large kill off due to the weather. This is the second winter in a row that was really hard. There were very few kitten last summer.

been seeing a lot more hay for sale here lately. my neighbor has some big rounds for sale. average hay has come down in price a little. around 150 bucks a ton.

single digits and 30 mph winds here this morning.
calling for 10 more inches of snow this weekend.
im sick of it. right now the snakes and gators don't sound all that bad.

We still have about of a foot of snow and cold ! More coming this wkend ! If this keeps up I'll have to sell the coon hounds and get sled dogs !!!

Cold here this morning 26 below zero actual temp. Light winds, after winds from 20 to 40 Mph yesterday and last night. This is getting sicking.

You said a mouth full Bob, now with the rain we had on the only two days it got above freezing a couple weeks ago the snow is like concrete. Coyote hunting even sucks. Atleast for hunting with dogs anyway.
