Don't you live for that kind of a race? I do.

so far i aint had no slick trees that i know of,but it makes me wonder when they tree in a den or in a tree that i cant see good in. the coon could be there but then again it might be in the next county by now.lol

lol. my dog is a pretty good liar most the time.i have found out that when my dog aint sure about the tree, she dont tree as hard at first then after a couple of mintues she will blow the top out lol.to me she trees to hard,if it takes me a couple of hours to get to her she will be barked out,i dont know the many times thats happen.i rather have a dog bark just enough for me to find them.

I know what you mean. My last old walker was pretty honest all in all considered. He got to where he had a pup that would tag and keep up, then when he'd check a tree she would, if she could get there in time, snatch that tree and tree like the dickens. He got tired of it and got to where he ran out of track and haul buggy a hundred yard or so and rear up on a tree and sure enough she would grab it. They would tree their butts off and as I would get close and they could see my light coming she would really get in a frenzy. He would ease off and check silent and wait for me to get to her tree then he would crank up over there with the coon.. He was a dirty devil for that kind of stuff . I let him keep on pulling it cause he caused alot of pups better to check a tree for themselves and not get proved a fool. He kept pulling that as needed for years till he got about 8 and got a little senile. He would get into treeing too and stay there and tree . I'd shine and just say matter of factly to my buddy I don't think there is a coon up there and I'd watch his eyes . He knew exactly what Ii was saying and he'd say to himself, Oh hell, I forgot, and take off and get treed right in thirty seconds . He was a lier and a half but he was a pretty honest lier once you got him figured out. In his prime he would plant a pretty fair dog on a tree and pull the same stuff but that is another story.

I think I know what you are trying to say and I am not trying to be questionable, But how in the world can you figure she treed one if you never saw it? Just say she treed a tree tonight and let that be that.

snow on the mountain , i hope you aint reffering to my illustriouse headfull of hair. It finally got cool enought down hyar last night for me to go hunting without too much worry about Gators. So everybody knows I train dogs with trained good dogs . A bunch of em think
if a pup follows and does what a dog does it is a "Mee Too" dog. I ,myself, think that is a flighty, light headed, Light loafered kind of a way of thinking or imaginings in somebodies head they got from reading a magazine article about coonhunting from, but that is just my very best guess after following this thing for about 50 years . LOLOL I took 2 young dogs out last night to just see if each one could still tree a coon by its lonesome. Lol I won't feed a dog lolligaging, trolling along behind a dog doing the work.. Do you recon after you ain'nt got a tailgate to sit on or awindow to throw a split tree deeaf one out of that you cannot tell a dog/pup doing his fair share of the WORK? LOL. Anyway I stayed home tonight to watch the debate that i missed last night for I was hunting young dogs to satisfy myself if they was Democrat, MEE TOO dogs back up treers.

To my delight after six months of laying up , They went out bytheir lonesom e , Got struck , Tracked trailed a nd treed a coon on their own. Very easy coons though, They never had to give chase and work , every one of those dang lazy coon s just climbed uo on the first tree they got to > A Grand Nite Champion could have even treed one of them easy coons.

lol,i was kidding about the snow here, its still warm enough to work up a sweat.i went hunting the other night and wore a coat like a dummy and came back soaking wet,i nearly died of heat stroke lol. them easy coons are good for a young dog, they will start treeing them hard ones when they get a little age on them and a lot of hunting.i wish there were some easy ones around here for my pup,but them are few and far between.these coons around here will run like a wild man as soon as they here a dog bark,i dont know how far they run but if i dont keep up with my dog its usually out of hearing most times.
