Treeing Walker Trimmer

First drop last night. Trimmer got in there deep and treed when that Walker was still pissin and smellin flowers. And the walker dog is a good dog. The walker dog is a well known dog around here, its one win away from GRNT. I seen the walker tree plenty of coons before by itself and with other dogs around here. I go with the guy once in a while just for company and listen to his dogs. I dont hunt my dogs with anyone around home , Ill show a dog to anyone but MOST of the time im by myself. The owner of this dog wont own anything but a walker, and he got some good ones. He goes with me sometimes just with my Reds alone just like how i go with him. But last night he wanted to hunt his good walker with trimmer. We had a good hunt , we made 4 trees an seen 4 coon. Trimmer had four first trees and three of the first strikes. The first drop trimmer struck and treed, he got hooked up quick, before the walker even struck. Anyway it was a good hunt and timmer did his usual. Hes a cooner! After the hunt on the way home this guy says to me " I want a pup off of Trimmer", and this man is a strict walker dog man. It caught me off guard because he seen trimmer go before and do the same thing treeing coons in style, but i guess with his walker there in the mix it must have struck a cord with him, so to say. This man will reference on Trimmer and he dont own a redbone.

memory

Fred remembers more than just the good ones. I drew Fred in a hunt a couple weeks ago, it didn't turn out good for either of us but Fred road with me and on the way riding around I got to ask Fred alot about how he got started. He could tell me dogs names and who he bought dogs from 50years ago. His memory amaized me. He can be a grumpy old guy and it's a real shame that Larry Packie passed away when he did because Larry had a way of keeping Fred in check like no one else. It was fun to have Fred ride with me. I have to admit that it made me realize how old I'm getting because Fred is starting to look a little old himself. That old man has sold more dogs from my kennel for more money than I probably ever will, but like he told you Jessie . It's a hobby for me and that's how he makes a living.... Long live The Redbone Man

ur right, his memory is sharp, and what he cant remember he has it written down in his little black book. every dog that goes in an out of that place of his. But anyway yea he is definatly alot grumpier then i ever remembered. u kno , hes always been that way but now its a little more often, I dont think he likes the fact of getting older. Hey he is seventy some years old an still hunts about everynite but sunday. and he goes coonin by himself. he shouldnt be doin that at his age goin by hisself, dont tell anyone where hes goin. He wont change hes as stubborn as an ol mule. let alone him fallin in nite bad into a creek bottom an on some hard rocks and broke a couple of ribs. that was about 7 /8 months ago, it slowed him down for a while, but he didnt learn from it. Your rite though Larry Packie had a way with him. Hey everyones getting older i remember not long ago Fred could go up in down them big mtns in PA an i have touble keepin up. He always was in good huntin physical health until bout 5 years ago. But he will still say hes better then ever.

Brewin's Sundown Sue was a good one,but old June was better.I won a lot of money with her in Illnois against the best reddogs and blk&tans at red bone days in the 80's and Brewin's Sundown Lazer best male dog with Brewin's Sundown Levi second.
