Pictorial record of Jack and my hunts.
If you follow this link you can see all of the pictures that are on this thread. Plus more that I haven't posted and videos as well.
....just a heads up though....my timing and ability suck with the record function.....
I post all of the pictures I take here that way I can have a history of him and what he's done.

I am highly impressed with these 2 puppies. Had Jim out night before last and he left quick with my Dixie female and opened on track with her a lil. And boys I believe this is sumthin please. These pups are openin on track and tryin to tree and they haden't never seen a coon yet. Not even a hide. I wanna thank Kent and Larry fer the opportunity they have given me to hunt such fine bred young pups.

Had a good hunt with Jack tonight. I took Tyler with me again since he was in town. I sure do love seeing that boy's eyes light up.
Jack got gone and stayed that way. He hunted for well over an hour so I had to drive around to get closer to him. After I drove around I started in towards him just for grins and giggles. He fell treed shortly after I started walking. He was just over 400yrds (as close as I could get to him). I could tell he was kinda boogered up a bit. He had treed in a big ole hollow tree that had a good sized brush pile at it's base.
He's learning and progressing on. Just another trick of ole Mr. Ringtail he's tryin to work out. But all in all I was very happy with what he did tonight. He get huntin with no company, got struck, crossed a deep creek multiple times, and got hooked fairly well. He was a bit boogered but hey....he's only 13months old....I'll take it. =)

Had a good hunt with Jonathan Christmas last night.
We cut loose and first thing they split up a breeding pair. Dixie and Buck went and treed up on the sow and Jack treed on the boar. However, Jack didn't hold the pressure for some reason....not sure why...but I do know he's held pressure under more pressure than that before so there really isn't any excuse. (I'll chuck that up to him being a puppy).
After that we cut them again and Jack hunted out the woods we were in and I called him in when he got back towards us a bit.
Last drop of the night it was just Jack and Dixie and gentlemen.....they flat left the country. They traveled about 2.5miles straight line from where we cut loose and covered over 7miles of ground doin it. They had an old boar coon and ended up treed on a little pond in the middle of a corn field. That coon had taken to the water, if we weren't so close to a man's house I think we would have stuck around to find him....but it was 1:30a.m. and we didn't want to have the dogs raising Cain in front of the man's house. So we called it a night with that.
Good hunt and good friends.

Dixie showed out good last night. I think I forgot to put that she looked real good. She got gone, got struck, and got treed. Can't ask more than that.

DIET
Barry, looks like all them Jabo x Ellie pups have had a slight change from their regular diet. some coon meat. looking good bud. LWS.
hillbilly Jenny 1/18/12
Jenny made a tree with a good size hollow about half way up. a bobble or two on the track may have let him get to where he wanted to be. but not by much. the tracks are getting faster and faster every time out.

We cut Jim, Duke, Jack and Daisy loose. Jack, Jim, and Duke left in a hurry. They hunted down the top side of the holler clear back around to nearly behind us. Then they went down to the bottom and hunted back around towards us. Duke and Jack split up nearly from the word go.
They ended up crossing paths about the time they both struck in. Duke ended up treeing on a tree that touched, what seemed to be, every tree in the woods. Jack was actually 200+yards away from him and located three times but wouldn't settle down on it. SOOO I made the decision to go to Duke since he was committed to what he was doing. I probably should have gone to Jack....but I can't go back in time.
After we shined and messed with the pups I walked back to where Jack located at and sure enough there was a coon in a nest.....Not sure why he left it but he did.
But since you have to look at the good with the bad....he actually took the coon on...AND he sure wasn't under my feet.

Well I got him set loose right at 6 O'clock. It had quit raining and we cut him down the wood line. It was a pretty horrible night of weather and the day hadn't been any better. The wind was high, it was raining on and off, and towards the end of the hunt there was lightning. To add to the difficulty of the hunt there was a pack of coyotes that came into the woods he was hunting.
With all that said he hunted out to 1 mile out and just over 2 hours. He hunted the area thoroughly too. There was little black left on the screen in the area he had hunted out.
I was really proud of the way he hunted out tonight.

Kent, Jenny struck this track at about 10:00pm and about forty min, later wham. Tree Jenny. tuff track and i was proud of her for staying with it. the computer can't show progress everytime out. or even the maturation of a pup. but a pic can say a whole lot. so here you go. one on the tree and one with the reward. LWS.

larry and kent
About 730 tonight bones was raisen cane. My 3 yr old is very kennel quite but when he opened up I got out of my recliner to see what they were fussin about. I grabbed my light and some shoes. As soon as I turned on the light I saw ol rocky. I went over to pet up bones but he was lettin me know he wanted to go. You know how that 440 is.....So I turned off my light and unsnapped him. He bawled all the way to the creek and UNLoAdED on the tree. I tied him up and went back to the house for the gun, couldn't let this good trainin opportunity go to waste. He was barkin the whole time. I shot twice and ol rocky come tumbling down, it startled him at first but when rocky tried to get up bones put him down. 7 months old. Thats! It! This is the same pup that id seen go nearly 3/4 mile first time to the woods. The Jabo line is littleman and machine gun jack all the way. Hope those litter mates you have in Ky are doin good for ya. We need to get together soon. Sorry no pics I was too excited and everything was happening so fast.......
