I sure like the picture of Kid and Tree daddy, fine looking hounds. I've seen Kid go a few times and he's sure enough all coondog!

Mike, Thanks I know we didn`t get to drop him much but he sure did make it look easy.He is a real pleasure to hunt.This may be my favorite picture.I did breed Kid to Stinger`s Fly.I have to see what he is going to throw.I can`t wait.he`s only been bred to one other time.Billy Kooser bred one of their females to him and she only raised three but all started with ease.One is a bear rigging full and the other is getting first and first with the coon most of the time.I belive the third one is deceased.

tree daddy x lou pup (drifter)

matt enjoyed the flat ground your way and i really like my pup. my boys decided to name him drifter . messed with a little around the house sunday an took him hunting with my brother-in-law on mon. nite . we turned loose he went out a ways barked a few times and was happy to be alive and checked things out jonathons dog fell treed and we went in, i tied drifter up and he just cut loose treeing he didnt know why he was treeing but it must felt right to him, coon was seen!! we changed hollars and cut loose again this time fly fell deep up in the hollar so we started to her , looked a round and drifter was gone , figured he went in to her ,nope , he opened about 200 yds right handed and was working on a ridge top i walked in and got him when got to tuff, you will be hearing more as this four and a half pup progresses thanks

John,Thanks for coming up and walking our flat lands.I wish it would have been a little cooler than 81 when we turned loose.we did get under one with kid about 900 yards away from the truck.I was glad to see Dodger make it that far.I think he will be alright with a little timber time.Kid sure didn`t blow the top out of the tree in the heat.Ted and I both said they sure didn`t see much LOL. Your welcome to come up and run with us anytime.
Good to hear Drifter went out of your lite his first night in the woods and did some treeing.I see alot of natural ability in him he is young and really hasn`t been fooled with enough.he knows how to swim and will lead alittle and eat alot.good Luck with him,I`m glad you ended up with him I know you will give him the best opertunity he will have.Thank You for keeping us informed on his progress.Matt

Matt this litter all seem to be nice. Took one female out tonite for the first time messin with her kim struck and treed about 600 yrds i went to her pup was gone waited around for the pup she never came in then i heard her open about 400 yrds i loaded kim up and let that pup go crazy over whatever she was trackin i finally had to go get her about 700 Yrds from the truck. My buddy is already huntin the other female shes treeing on caged coons and goes with his older dog as far as he goes no come back to these pups im lovin it bud thanks for makin the cross i hope to have some more good news about these females later on good huntin to ya...o yea by the way these bitches got the mouths loud loud bud

Zack,I`m glad they are doing good for you.I have heard nothing but good out of this litter,Lou is looking to be the best reproducing female I have had here.she has reproduced on all three litters so far.keep us updated mabe we`ll see you this weekend.

zack is ur pup a litter mate to my will be 5 mo, 8-23-11 ? every time ive had my out he make strides to the goal tonite drifter was in there treeing with the other dogs and i feel the way he is going he will be hunting and treeing coons by hiself by the time hes 6 mons old . this is the best pup ive had at this age of any breed or color

Thanks for the update, yours and Zacks are littermates,the main thing with any pup is getting exposer at a young age and not getting them eaten up at the tree.the pups off of Ellis Blue Jim would start at 5 months old if givin the chance.these pups are line bred up to be the same.Lou is a outstanding reproducer and this helps a ton.this cross is diffently a hit.I`ll be giving the guys who haven`t called a call and checking on the rest of the litter at 6 month old.Tree Daddy has a litter on the way and hopefully we`ll get a few more good ones bred to him soon.

The Ol' Huss pup

Matt we had those two outlaws (Huss & Kate) out a half dozen times. They have got the goods, Huss went 250+ the other night w the old dogs and ended up in the corn by herself. She came back after 20 min. She ain't afraid the dark bud. If I knew how to post pics on here I'd do it. Kate has got a monster mouth and is a looker. Tree Daddy x Lou ... NICE CROSS!!!
Waiting for cooler weather, and I'm gonna get em' tuned up. I'll call you soon.

Got her over to the new house last night ! She is loving the five plus acres and the beans to run loose it should bring her right along now that I have her separated from the rest of the hounds. She did a great job friday night she went in with Ice 1200 yrds and treed with him when i got her tied then she went in and struck a coyote track and had some pups barking back at her the other dogs blew out of there and she couldn't keep up with them, so needless to say I called her back to me and tried to get her to realize that she doesn't to be messing with the coyotes lol..lol

Jay and Larry,

You guys are hitting the timber with these young ones.its good to hear and it sounds like they are fearless right now and eager to learn.theirs nothing better than seeing a young one come on and show progress.
I went with another son of Lou tonight the one and only Image,he showed us two in a short time ( the only two we seen tonight) and I do belive he is getting louder.it sounded like he worked out a colder track and put on a nice tree job.Tom and I dropped Kidd and Baby Six and this little female has all the tools to be something nice.we treed twice the first one a den and the second didn`t look.nice tree with a shreaded vine going up we couldn`t get it to look.Good Luck with your Lou and Tree Daddy pups.

turned drifter loose last nite he left on a dead run with my brother-in -laws little female . fly got stuck and about 3 or 4 min in we hear a loud long bawl and drifter has opened on track ! WOW what a rush ! she came treed and he treed a little bit we shined the tree and it was a thick viney mess we couldnt find the coon so moved to a river bottom an turned loose , drifter was winding on his hind legs and up and down a soy bean patch but he couldnt do anything with it . fly fell treed and had a coon on in there right handed when we made a scent drag on up the creek he ran and treed every breath what a locate it sent chills down my spine and broke into a steady chop man it was cool . tree daddy and lou cross is outstanding five months old today and cant wait for the sun to go down .

All I can say is I told you so John.LOL.I knew from the cross on Lou and Legend that the Tree Daddy cross would probably be something special.They both are reproducing fools and I figured crossing her onto him would produce some special pups.Congrats on the pup big John,sounds like you're seeing what I've been saying for awhile now.He is throwing some nice pups.

I just came in and give Lou a good ear rubbing and a good pat on the head.the ol girl is a good one no doubt about it.Tom you are a little partial to Tree Daddy since he put on a few shows for you.LOL
John,good to see your getting a little taste of the future with Drifter.with that name he has alot to live up to.you sure didn`t make expectations very high.
Billy Kooser says his little female scares him she`s full of desire and fire and will try to kill anything that moves.LOL

Sure turned hot again,I`m ready for fall weather.the last week or so its been so nice to turn loose then 90 + again.

Here are two Tree Daddy sons.Left side is GRNITECH,PKC CH. STILLWATER FARM'S BLUE LEGEND,2009 WORLD HUNT finalist and high scoring Bluetick male at the 2011 Winter Classic.The one on the right is GRNITECH,PKC CH. STILLWATER FARM'S TURBO BLUE,overall winner of the 2009 BBCHA Ashland Spring Bluetick hunt,AND FINAL 4 at the 2010 Michigan PRO HUNT.They are from the first two litters sired by him,different females.He has approx.75 pups on the ground and most aren't old enough to be campained yet.I can only imagine what his numbers would look like if he had sired a few hundred pups.

Just tree ole blue! LOL The Still waters at the farm lead to Mosquitos on the creek. Keep those ole blue haired bisucuit eaters in the timber!

Ole Matt has bred up some pretty nice blue dogs, I have sure enjoyed a few nights in the timber behind some of them. Keep on Keep'in on!

Thanks for all the kind words,

Getting young hounds in the right hands and time in the timber. Everynow and then we get a lighter colored one and we get culls on occasion.I try to look at the good in a hound and breed away from the bad.I haven`t seen a perfect one or one I would`nt change something on.I like Kidd not many faults on him.a real pleasure to hunt but we know Tree Daddy has reproduced on every litter he has sired and its hard not going to him even with a real outstanding son Legend down the road and his grandson Kidd beside him.the old dude is going to get one more chance with Lou. she is beggining to drip and with a little luck we`ll get one more good litter from them both.I do have a couple booked at this time so if your interested don`t wait to long to get on this list.this would put this litter ready to go at the middle to end of dec.
I just talked to John Gill and he picked up two pups one off of Stinger and Fly and one off of Tree Daddy and Ruby back at the end of march.he has nothing but good news from both.he has been hunting his Tree Daddy and Ruby female the most and is impressed with the way she runs a cold track and explodes on a tree.he said she strokes the hot coons good luck getting first tree on her.she is like a stick of dynamite and says she reminds him of his old Smokey River female.I asked John what he liked the best about her and he said she will have a coon and don`t make trees without them.I would have to say thats what really stands out with this line of hounds. THANKS AGAIN!
