HSUS Does Not Run Shelters

Lets keep this fact at the forefront of our thoughts: The HSUS does not run dog and cat shelters, and they do not have the spay/neuter clinics either. They simply want to eliminate hunting nd medical testing on animals!!!!....99 percent of those I speak to thing HSUS is the dog and cat shelter group. If we inform the public that this is false, I am sure we can impact their bottom line!!!! When we start to impact their money, we impact their ability to mislead the public....

You're absolutely right, if the public knew this the money would dry up. I posted this on the top of my Facebook page. I also posted links to stories on HSUS corruption and agenda. I send emails to everyone on my email list about the HSUS and ask them to forward it. If we all did it the emails would eventually go around the world. Together we can make the HSUS wish they never screwed with houndsman.

Keep the heat on them boys. I just wanted to let you know that I have not gotten a response from Mr. Ford and SI. Also I have not gotten anymore responses from Megan Sewell at HSUS. You know they probably want us all to quit e-mailing her and go away.

We can not do that, just one e-mail to HSUS a day only takes a minute. And we have been on the computer anyhow.

Also inform and educate your friends and neighbors, encourage them all to e-mail HSUS.

I was watching the new on my lunch break and they was talking about some place where the animal shelter was getting over run with beagles .. Did any one esle see this on there news channels ??? You never hear of that it is always other dogs that they talk about , makes you wander who reported this to the news.....

By the way...HSUS was instrumental in closing slaughter houses to horses.....

...so now, in these times, we do not have a way to dispose of sick and dying horses. Instead, they must be brought into the whole confiscation, animal control, animal rescue cycle and then and only then can they be euthanized if necessary. And remember, HSUS and any sympathizer group can be credited for the anti-tehering legislation that is creeping across the country. They have excellent strategists and tacticians on board and they are surely a force to reckon with. We can be as 'smart' and 'sophisticated' and as 'manipulative' as they are, can't we?

I wonder what the AR thought that not one person cared when they went ahead and pulled the ground hog out this morning. He looked very well to me. Probably taken better care that most kids LOL.

I haven't received a response from Mark Ford from Sports Illustrated regarding their support of the HSUS. I sent an email to Scott Hendrickson, National Sales Director for S.I. asking him to ask Mark if he got the email.

My mass email is prepared and ready to go if I don't get some kind of response soon. To be fair, Presidents of large corporations are busy guys so they have their emails screened. He may have never got the emails we sent. If you haven't sent one please do it. If you have, send another one.

HSUS has an active "snitch" program so that they can raid & seize animals from those with multiple animals - either pets or livestock. If they have your info (location) be careful about allowing people (even neighbors) on your property.You can't "reason with the enemy" - there can be no bargaining or change of mindset with HSUS. They have a stated goal of ZERO PET ANIMAL POPULATION. Also, the President of HSUS has stated his goal is the elimination of all meat, fish, poultry and dairy from American menus. Every time they run one of their "raids" stories on TV they reap millions of dollars from pet lovers who believe they are actually helping to save animals - when in fact they are lining the $200M+ coffers of HSUS so that HSUS lobbyists can influence & present legislation that restricts & eliminates our constitutional rights to own animals as well as to hunt. The President of HSUS has a brother - head of a political science department in a Georgia university where Tax-Free Charity law is taught. HSUS has purchased stock in food industry companies so that they can make meat products too expensive for consumers, forcing VEGANISM on everyone using their legislative mandates for raising and processing animal products. Yes - HSUS monitors this forum.

Thursday May 14, 2009, the first day a mainstream media organization dared to publish an investigation into the fundraising practises of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS)._ WSB-TV, the Atlanta GA affiliate for ABC published an article and video segment titled �Where Humane Society Donations Really Go�.__
The WSB-TV article addressed a number of important points that are commonly mis-understood about the Humane Society of the United States:
The Humane Society of the United States has little to no affiliation to local shelters and local Humane Societies, despite having_a name that leads_to the convenient_ but mistaken identification of the HSUS as the parent organization.
Only a small percentage of donations made to the Humane Society of the United States are granted to local shelters and Humane Societies._ In 2007, less than 6 million dollars were handed out as US grants out of_ over 152_million* taken in (less than 4%*)._ Of the almost 4%, a large percentage of the grants were handed out to organizations that did not provide direct care to animals in need.__
After Hurricane Katrina, Humane Society of the United States fundraising efforts raised 34 million dollars._ By 2 years after Hurricane Katrina, only 52% (18 million)_ could be accounted for as spent on Katrina-related activites._ The connection between reconnecting animals with their owners, the premise for the Hurricane Katrina fundraising, was tenuous at best for a number of the projects indicated as supported by Hurricane Katrina funds. _As of the 2 year mark, funds related to the Gulf Coast began to make a shift to HSUS legislative goals again.
Channel 2 attendance at a local HSUS meeting found the 2 hour discussion to be dominated by activist planning and lobbying efforts.__This impression was confirmed as accurate by Cheryl McAuliffe, Georgia Director for the HSUS._ Ms McAuliffe also confirmed that all budgeting was directed from the Humane Society of the United States Washington headquarters
By Friday morning, there was a response from HSUS CEO Wayne Pacelle claiming WSB-TV had used discredited_source information from the Center_for Consumer Freedom (CCF).__It is difficult to understand how Mr. Pacelle can take the position that the CCF information has been discredited when it is able to be verified independently using HSUS IRS documents and HSUS press releases._ Mr. Pacelle also indicated that all funds raised for the Hurricane Katrina crisis have been spent helping Katrina families and pets, yet this is also established as dubious, based on HSUS press releases. (unless introducing items such as cock-fighting bills_are counted in this position) By Friday evening, all links to this ground-breaking and courageous article had disappeared from the WSB-TV website.
Yet, the most interesting result of the investigation is a point not (yet) pursued by WSB-TV._ Is the HSUS in compliance with requirements to maintain its 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt status?_ According to Cheryl McAuliffe, Georgia Director for the HSUS, activist and lobbying efforts form the bulk of her activities._ Yet, according to IRS 501 (c) 3 regulations:
�In general, no organization may qualify for section 501(c)(3) status if a substantial part of its activities is attempting to influence legislation (commonly known as lobbying)._ A 501(c)(3) organization may engage in some lobbying, but too much lobbying activity risks loss of tax-exempt status.
Legislation includes action by Congress, any state legislature, any local council, or similar governing body, with respect to acts, bills, resolutions, or similar items (such as legislative confirmation of appointive office), or by the public in referendum, ballot initiative, constitutional amendment, or similar procedure._ It does not include actions by executive, judicial, or administrative bodies.
An organization will be regarded as attempting to influence legislation if it contacts, or urges the public to contact, members or employees of a legislative body for the purpose of proposing, supporting, or opposing legislation, or if the organization advocates the adoption or rejection of legislation.�
_Yet the_Humane Society of the Unites States dedicates_a significant amount of resources to its efforts to introduce and influence legislation as demonstrated by the portion of its website tracking HSUS legislative efforts at the state and federal levels as well as through ballot initiatives._
This raises an important question. With an income of_over 152_million annually, is the IRS being cheated out of substanial revenue if the Humane Society of the United States is not in compliance with the 501 (c) 3 charitable organization requirements?__ The HSUS claimed involvement in 140_ legislative bills_at the state level in 2008 alone, has claimed credit for a great deal of legislation in 2009 and publicly acknowledges_�urging� assorted_legislators on a variety of bills._

I still have not heard from Mark Ford of sports iluustrated, but I intend to mail him again and again.

As others have said we also need to educate the non hunters and the younger generations about HSUS.

Bear Hunter on the Big Game forum has a good idea to have your local clubs donate to local little leagues if they have the funds. This will get your club out where all in your community can see them. And give hunting a better name.

If any of you have anymore ideas get them on here for us all to see.

Larry King Live
Rush Limbaugh
Most of the news magazines, etc. etc. etc (20+ media sources)
TV Stations - especially those showing HSUS propaganda
I received automated replies but NO personal responses.
Evidently the deep HSUS pockets have overwhelmiong influence on the uninformed media.

Sorry to tell you this

HSUS doesn't CARE what we think or believe. HSUS goal is to shut down hunting. They have a stated purpose of eliminating ALL HOUNDS. Many of our hounds that vanish off the tree are taken by AR people. They euthanize them as fast as they nab them. The AR people also have contacts in kill shelters where animals can be euthanized without traceable records. All of this is going on daily. It is a waste of time to argue with HSUS.
We need to inform our legislators about the TRUTH. And if they don't support us after being given the FACTS - throw the bums out! HSUS openly states they pay lobbyists and influence politicians when it comes to creating laws about ALL animals as they chip away at pet and food animals WORLDWIDE!
HSUS has a long list of affiliations collecting (untraceable) funds.

Hopefully the video on the HSUS will get pulled..........I been emailing one of the owners whose video footage is in the HSUS video on how to have the video removed without a legal lawsuit --keep fingers crossed.

If the HSUS video has your video footage in it, please contact me so I can give you the info on having your video removed without taking legal action.
