Hey Russ

I met your son Ben this afternoon at the Amherst Club. I am going to join the club over there and hope to do some hunting with him. I may be going to Ashland, Ohio. He said you may have a dog over there needing to get picked up. Let me know whats up and I will let you know for sure if I am going.
I like the pictures of "Patch". That is one good looking dog.

Take Care
Scott

"CAGED"

Thank's Roger. They been gettin a lil exercize! Still a lil rough out there for the fledgling's though but hopefully soon ya know?

Been a messin with my lil "Bumlet's" quite a bit. They have started to leave & won't be long & most will be off to their new home's. Lookin forward to them goin but I'm not if that make's any sense....LOL!! There is three stayin I guess best I can tell so still have some pupil's for this summer after the first wave that are ready now get 'ta goin.

Got rain yesterday & now everything is covered with ice. I am pondering givin it a go for a bit tonight. Pretty sure they will be movin & I am getting sick of bein in this house!

Feel like a tiger at the circus pacin back & forth tryin to figure a way out.................

"YEP", The low throaty growl's & the whole nine yards!

"THANK'S"

Mitch,Most of the huntin credit of late goes to Matt. He's been wadin through the majority of the snow & Dan has been along a couple time's recently as well. They both just ordered new lite's so they can melt some snow off'n limb's! Ben unfortunately is a lil far outa the pocket for now but ya do what ya gotta do now-a-day's in the land of few job's. I know how that pick up & move thing goes, that's how we ended up in this country. He's meetin some people & gettin some place's to hunt up 'nort there so that's good. "Super Sas" is with him & the family. Once this weather break's I will be prepin him a backup in case.

I have relinquished part of our newest lil reddawg to Anthony. The way I see it is if it will get him 'ta huntin I guess I have no problem with the color of the hound as long as the white is just a tiny lil patch on it's chest.I have made it to a few tree's but no where near as many as I would like to.

We are developing quite a string of hunt ready hound's here in our eye's anyway. Some decent weather & there will be five of them to choose from. More than we need probably but nothing wrong with havin a collection!

That's the trouble for me is once they become sure 'nuff sink in the dark till they get treed kind I have a hard time goin the distance so to speak. Without our son's I would just be your basic takin stroll's with pup's in the holler & likin it hill person!!

Huntin one alone & especially pup's isn't so bad most of the time especially once it get's 'ta where we can drive around again. The Squeeze tend's to put her foot down on me goin it alone when it's cold out anywhere other than in the yard zone here.

Handlability has takin on a whole new meaning & they all for the most part are pretty catchable if the need be. You'd be suprised how well one of them dog wistle's work. Wish I woulda put them to use year's ago. They know their name's & I make sure of that rite off the bat.

You know your more than welcome on this side of the big creek anytime ya want & look forward to that when ever it work's out for ya'll.

"GOOD HUNT"

Last night we had a really good time. Three tree's three coon in 10 degree & below weather huntin deer yards. Good dog work & even better company.

Thank's Matt & Stub ! Sure capped off what started out as a bad day in grand fashion ...........

I can't wait to let anybody that want's to see "Patch" go have the opportunity. Put on a clinic last night but dad showed'um that he don't know it all on the last one............

Not sure as of yet? Got a few cross' planned in due time & hopefully another litter or two yet this year. Wanna raise some outa "Patch" sumthin bad but really wanna focus on huntin the hair off'n him the best we can. Actually have three cross' I really wanna make with him as the father. A minor hold up & age could play into whether we get it done for sure or not but we're hopeful.

The excitement & intensity that come's with him & his sister "Moe" has me beside myself straight up.

I do have a couple dandy male pup's outa "Bum" & "Whitey" that where born on new year's day. Fat, slick, well takin care of & socialized lil hounddawg's. Not an ounce of difference in them other than coloring. There is four male's,one Matt is keepin & one goin to Nebraska.

Six female's but they've all had home's since before they was born. Ben & I are both keepin one each. A beautiful litter out of a ten year old female that had ten pup's & raised all through the -45 degree weather.

We've had some pretty nice youngster's outa the "Bum" so far. Granted only bred & raised here so far but very happy with the early startin natural ability we've witnessed.

Best I can tell ya for now honestly.

Matt said he did that! I think it was maybe the last tree but not sure? Is there a way to forward that to me,the voicemail? Would like to have it to listen to if ya can.

It was cold but no problem seein fur!

Looks like them Treeing Blues are firing on all cylinders ! Just got home from Michigan , down to Terry's and Ed's to check out some more studs , great little trip to break up the winter . I am still planning on heading out your way in May for the week of the National . If it works want to see Oppy , Bum and Patch , my little Maggie gyp is in heat now , going to let her cycle and that puts her ready for action this spring . She needs 2 more wins for Gr , would be nice to pick them up at the big dance . Will get in touch with you and Perry closer to spring , thanks Paul .

Paul,Dude, Them road trip's can shore 'nuff do that can't they? Been a lot of year's since I did that myself. We are here & willin to go if it work's out. Got plenty of sleepin room & your more than welcome to hang out as long as you'd like.

That would be the way to finish out "Maggie" in grand fashion no doubt. Look forward to seein her go & seein you again as well!

Will you hold against me if I take me lil reddawg along a turnout or two?

"SHORT DAY"

Bryan, He's gettin it put together nicely........ Been watchin so much racin stuff I keep finding myself driftin to the left quite often!

"YEP", Matt & killer Bee's had it goin on till yesterday. Blown engine on lap 5 or whatever really stank. I found myself in the cave with my canine companion's through a good share of it till there was 50 to go. The "Shrub" was unstopable by then or close enough.

Jr could use a lil good fortune couldn't he? I'ma thinkin Hedrick's "Dream Team" was in place,he just didn't know it. Make's ya wonder how that hindsite thing is lookin now. Shoulda kept the Shrub & replaced Mear's with Jr. Sell tee shirt's in one hand & win race's in the other!

I am sick of the boogity boogity thing already & give me my red rider & I'll take out that stupid gopher....LOL!!
