Aubrey had an enjoyable hunt last night. He loaded his mule, Clyde, and 7 month old pup Dice, and headed to the woods. This was Dice's second night to the woods. Dice was right with Clyde, tracking and treeing. It looks like she is going to be a good kill dog....she isn't afraid to grab on to the throat! And LOUD....he said it about broke his eardrum when he hooked her up. They bagged 5 coon total.

I know he is the wrong color, but I got a video of my young male treeing. When I got him I was told he had never seen a coon. I showed him a caged coon and he went nuts. Later that night I went hunting with Aubrey and my dad and Clyde chased one to him and he caught it on the ground. I haven't done anything much with him since then. Today, I was laying a drag and got video of him treeing on just a hide. I hope I can get it on here, I'm not good with posting videos and pics on here....

Thanks John. Nope, not bear cubs....just big ol Wisconsin coon. Here is one 33 lb coon from last season.

That Walker pup sounds good Brandon. Keep working with him...he should make a coondog for ya! Here is a picture Aubrey took today of your Dad and Bill squirrel hunting off mules. They are starting to look like real mule-men eh?

Looks like fun, hopefully I'll get an opportunity to do that one of these days. Planning on hunting Sunday night (weather permitting) if anyone is interested.

Aubrey & Jesse, we need to get together for a hunt this spring if it ever's come's? Startin to wonder as of late though....LOL!! Would really enjoy huntin with ya'll & your hound's.

Been a decade or better since I hunted with a reddawg other than the one playing otter here in all of Ma Nature's dandriff we been blessed with as of late.

Carl,lookin forward to hookin up with you sometime as well. Sound's like you got some nice young dog's & more importantly you like'um!! Sorry I had to cut our conversation short the other night due to my house dog's wantin to see what the neighbor's where up to.

Generally it would be a matter of fetchin them off a tree when I decided to but this time they had been apprehended & waiting for me in a heated shop !

Some very good lookin hound's gettin it done the rite way on this thread! Keep it up!!

Aubrey, Last time you saw this dog he wouldn't be handled very well if you remember. I had Emily take this picture yesterday. Mind you, I just got done working with him on the tree and I think his feet were sore from runnin thru the snow, and his nails need trimmed, otherwise he has good feet. You're the expert, tell me what you think

Russ, that sounds like a good plan Hope this dandruff, ice, and subzero temps goes away soon....it is definitely putting a dent in coonhunting.

Brandon, he looks good. Get his toenails trimmed up and keep working with him; you'll have him ready for the shows this spring in no time. He looks good on the plywood and hardwood, you can't ask for more than that!

If only he had more red on him than just his head huh? LOL Hopefully it warms up a little bit and I can take him on a walk and see what he'll do. I called and left a message for Aubrey too, I received a deposit today on Ginger and Kylie so they're sold!!! I'm going to maybe have room for a couple red dogs!!

Yes Scott it was very cold water and the snow was almost knee deep. We went home and dried them off and went back out and they still went hunting but i thought i was going to have a heart attack lol but enjoyed every bit of it

Here I am waiting for it to warm up before I go out and finish up the barn chores(it was 2 when I got up....) so I'm WARMING up sitting with the laptop...and I get chilled WATCHING those videos! BRRRRRRRRR!
