Spent 3yrs. in the Army from Nov. '74 - Nov.'77. I was a UH-1H (Huey) helicopter mechanic/crewchief. Was first assigned to the 129th Aviation Co.(Assault Helicopters).Ft. Bragg,N.C.Then was sent to the 6th Aviation Detachment--(SETAF)Southern European Task Force-Vicenza,Italy.

U S A F, 1955-1959, I WAS IN THE 48TH FIGHTER INTERCEPTOR squadron our planes were F102's.our job was to defend certain areas of the east coast from any unidentified aircrafts that might be trying to sneak in.
I was the youngest of 5 bro's.2 oldest were in www2, next one in korea, next one in vietnam I was only one in during peace time
all my older brothers came home safe from the wars ,but are deceased now .leaving me .I am 75 & not in best of health
but if I could I would & will still do all I can for this great country
GOD has blessed me to be born in. thanks to all past & present
service men for what you did & are still doing

My dad MasterSgt. Mike Fann U.S.A.F just retired after 34yrs I believe. He dropped out of High School to go to Nam. Was also in Iraq, Afgan, Kuwait, and a few others. He did many jobs while in, weapons trainer, Specail Forces, and Security Forces. He was stationed at Whiteman A.F Base in Warrensburg, Mo for many years as a Reservest. He also retired as a Police Officer in Raytown, Mo ( over 25yrs ) at the same time. He was true to his country and community his whole life. Now retired with way to much time on his hands.
