Does anyone know of any heavy skuna river pups coming along in the next year? I have a heavy bred skuna river bred female that was my first coon dog and has me spoiled makes my other hound look like an idiot (probably because she is) she's a load the rifle type hound. Would love to get another going?. Doesn't have to be a pup could be a young dog but would prefer to start her from scratch. All of the skuna river blood I've hunted with knows how to tree a coon and do it in style. Would like to possibly entertain the idea of breeding my female but don't have the time to deal with a litter of pups at the moment

Tim hunted the big stone pup alone tonight just called said he treed another coon he is looking like a 3 yr old instead of a 10 month old. Good cross would sure like to get my hands back on Josie

Puppies

Do you know of any Dollar puppies born Nov.1st or later? I will need another July project. My pup from Dollar and Mr. Fields female continues to improve. As good as any I have ever owned for his age. Just got in, with the ground freezing and frosty 6 trees, 4 with 5 coons, a den and a slick hackberry. No other dog in the woods but him.I was hunting some area that has not seen dogs since this time last year. Deer season is winding down and I can go back to hunting private land. He still has some pup nights, but has coon dog nights as well.

Plan on getting his money won for the SS and put him in some UKC hunts before the leaves come back on. Either myself or hire someone.

I was hoping Mr. Fields would have bred his female by now. I have spoken for two of them when and if he does. I just like those November and December born pups. They are a perfect age come mid July.

Are you going to have him at the winter classic?

Tim the last two females bred did not take we are hunting a male that want be a year old till feburary he acts like a two yr old trees coon alone he is the last litter born. So glad your pup is getting it done haven't heard from Thomas for a while. When I run across the right female I will raise another litter dollar is 10 now but I had him collected waiting on that right female to come alone would really like to have one heavy rat and wipeout bred.it would work great I believe i know you bred as many bark crosses as anyone you got any ideals on crosses I would value your opinion.

cross

Coondog to coondog is always best.

Most other Bark studs are Bark X Rat/Clover. Seems like they started earlier, opened more on the ground and packed when they needed too. I hear a lot about the Power Pack dog. Some have made it to Tennessee. Dollar X Power Pack/ Rat or Wipeout female would be my choice if I had my preference.

Good luck choosing that right female.

Mr. Bowling have you considered direct daughters off of Bone Collector? I have always been a firm believer in heavy linebred dogs when its done correctly. If Im remembering Bones ped correctly, it would double up on a lot of good coondog blood. like tim said, breed coondog to coondog and when you double up on the great stuff something good has to happen. I look at line breeding like a 50 lb sack of potatoes...dump em out and your only gonna get out whats already in there..just my opinion though. like i told you the other night, whatever you ever choose to breed him to id like one.

Posted by bowling on 01-07-2017 10:35 PM:

Yes a bone female would cross looked for one directly out of homer for a while but they are hard to find I sold two good homer male dogs and wanted a female from either one of them but it ain't happened yet I'm hunting a bone male some right now and he is want I like mostly the reason I'm hunting him he trees these rough coons that my young dog don't need any part of right now I like a dog that has enough brains to know what kinda track they can handle and he is that way. So I know some of the bone females have that quality but they are hard to find also most guys have one till you go hunt with it I'm too hard on a dog for the most part though. If they want bust a hole in the dark alone I wouldn't feed it much less breed one for my own use I know where a coule good ones are but they want sell them might have to wait till they get old.lol.

Mr bowling if I can get my hands on the Sadie female that your buddy sold mine would you breed her. Pretty much everything you just mentioned she is. She will flat get gone and treed and can handle that old ruff track when that's all there is. She should be in heat last week of February or first week of March.

Driver is doing great he is being hunted hard I ain't comp hunted him any since last year due to being so busy he has two firsts will probally have him and bill both at winter classics would like to finish him at the bigger hunts he can win he likes to have a coon and will Tree these old hard running tracks with ease he is a nice young hound that has more heart than any hound I ever followed he never fails to fire in the country and get treed somewhere been hunting a young dog with him that is his half brother he is nice and ain't a year old yet only pup I ever seen that could keep up with him and he is getting split a lot from driver now. Thanks for the job you did on driver best money I ever spent on a dog he put it all together he has more sense than most dogs he struggled a little with acorn coons but he figured it out he just started falling treed and had most of them but missed a few also.

He is really looking good right now was split two or three times Saturday night with coons been thinning the population down with these dollar dogs around here Tim smith is hunting the stone pup bout every night plus jerry and James has bill and Henry clifford Jude owns the money dog jerry had and old driver they will all bust a hole in the dark and get treed with a coon somewhere we will probally have driver and bill both at winter classics if something don't come up.

Posted by bowling on 01-21-2017 02:31 PM:

Big stone pup looked really good tonight he trees so hard you can't count the barks not a year old yet he is unbelievable he will be pushed hard in the hunts very shortly he is ready. Todd Laster also has a mate to him that is treeing coons all by herself she has never been with a dog. I just bought a male from dollar and a zeb 3 female should be a nice pup second time cross some nice hounds from first cross and some good ones already from last cross Tim Cantrell has a nice one. nt ch dollar bill will be hunted at winter classics. Driver will also be granded out this year also he is really turning the crank also I should have enterd him winter classics also but my buddy is hunting some young dogs with him right now to get him use to hunting with company he was always hunted alone except the two hunts I put him in he won first both nights only needs one more win to be nt ch.

Getting some good reports on dollars grand pups latley the slam dog placed 4th at grand American guy called from North Carolina yesterday has a female grand pup from dollar he said has treed 65 or 70 coons already this season deadly accurate. Getting bill ready for winter classics he has been treeing the hair off of them last few nights will also have the big stone pup there for some of the super slams not a yr old yet but looks like a 3 year old hard to get a tree on with company makes it look easy

Posted by bowling on 02-09-2017 05:45 PM:

Headed to winter classics box full of dollar dogs gonna hunt bill in hunt gonna pleasure hunt three more of them
