Usually by the time that a stud gets to the top, he is no longer able to reproduce. But here is Haze at #1 and still going strong.

He actually did a nice job sunday night Richard. Got struck quick and located quickly. Took the next track from one set of woods to another through a field and had 2 coons on the second tree. Ole boy made me smile.

Haze passed his first hunt test last night........then went pleasure hunting for a few hours and he got a bunch of exercise until 3:30am. I haven't seen him out of his house all day....

Thanks, he is a tough one to get a picture of on a tree. he won't stay there but a second or two when there are other dogs there, he mostly stays on the ground. So it's rare to get pics of him actually on the wood. He is still a little heavy but seems to be losing weight pretty steady now. I will get him out again at the end of the week.

With pups like that, it is easy to see how Haze got to be the #1 reproducer. It sure does look like he is in good enough shape to go to National Redbone Days.

I don't know if Ole Haze is in good enough shape for nationals.....but he was in good enough shape to tree a coon in front of Frog tonight.....

So, if neither one is in good enough shape to hunt 2 nights in a row, I quess that you will have to bring both and hunt them each one night.

Maybe so Richard. We'll see how it plays out. Going to try and hunt the next 4 nights. I should lose some weight if I'm able to hunt that many nights in a row.

Four nights in a row in this heat and in your mountains??? You may lose more than some weight. Are you going to let your big buddy, Boo Boo, go with you? He has a pretty nice young Haze female that needs a little hunting also. I bet that her daddy could show her how to "get-er-done"!

I wish buck was with me now so he could go catch his dog off that deer...

. Im sitting in the truck, Im not going after her she will have to find her way back. Haze and Frog have looked pretty stupid tonight so Im not happy with them either. May go home with less dogs.

I think everyone has had those nights Pastor Mike. I just back home from an HTX hunt with Boone. He was in a cornfield race for 45 minutes. I think he just about covered the whole 50 acres of that corn feild. He finally ended it on a den but not enough time left to turn loose again. That ol coon had him threw for a loop. Well I guess you win some and loose some. He did redeem himself after it though. I turned loose again after the hunt and he put two kittens up a tree in about 5 minutes and was back to the truck. I guess I should have turned loose there first. .

I just wish we had a 50 acre corn field around here. I had a pretty sh*tty hunt last night myself. Zeke went out in a cow pasture and rolled in some fresh runny green cow sh*t. He looked/smelled awful. I took him to a creek on the next drop and he rinsed most of it off by putting something in a hole in the creek bank right at water level. Bond called me a few nights ago and said that he had a real fun night with his T-Top big game hound. He said that he lost about 10 lbs of sweat running through the mountains trying to catch her. He said that she was running a wild hog and would catch it but when he got close the hog would break and take off again. Apparantly she could "catch" him but she could not "hold" him. He said that when he got close, he could hear all of the squealing but he did not know if it was the hog or the dog.

I wonder just how many Haze offspring will be at NRBD's this week? I wonder if Gr Nt Haze will draw out with Gr Nt Chick and Gr Nt Boone on Fri or Sat night? There could be a couple of all Haze casts on Thursday night when everyone hunts together. I know that Nt Ch Sheba and Nt Ch Frog will be there. Also 'PR' Wendy will be there. That is 6 that I know of. Will there be any more? I plan on getting my picture made a bunch.
