got a good report on Ollie he was treed for hour in the mtn never took a breath, caney sure does like blaze,knocked the dust off crankie friday night ole hussey sounded like a coal train comming through corn feild she sounded like two different dogs treed ed thought a strange dog had came in on us it was just her, moonie sally tommy made big rounds sat night 3 coons and alot of ground between em best news was about Cecil Thurston did you get up with him,Tazer deal not looking to good Keep looking but someones got a nice dog for sale well keep a look out

YEA OLLIE DOING GOOD. 2nd time out kennel last Friday night. He covered another dog then had that one by himself for good while. Leaves starting to drop so me an dad be getting back in shape here before to long. I keep yall posted. Anyone wants thinking bought wanting to try a bear run hit me up. Later.

that entire cross had huge mouths, both males and females. Ive never heard of 1 dog from that cross that was anything but wildly independant.

crank was the most trouble free dog i ever trained. she had maybe 10 nights in the woods when i got her, and she treed a feb boar for me the first night i hunted her, and did it alone. after that i hunted her for a year ALONE, and she just got better and better.

never once offered to run anything off or leave a tree. truely a "tree er on her locate" coondog.

there isnt an ill or me too hair on her body.

she is what she was bred to be, and I never used any kind of training aid on her (other than a tracking system), or any other "training tricks" up my sleeve. All that was ever done was unsnap her, go get her, and repeat the process.

thats all that was needed.

she was a ntch before she had touched her 3rd coon, all others were left where she treed them.

crankie and wy have both been a pleasure to own had crank out last night sally carried a coon back to tailgate crank grab coon pulled it in the dog box with her no growl or fuss just said let me see that thing truly a mind of her own

haha, i cant tell you how many coons Crank has carried back to the truck for me

most of the time i discourage that sort of thing......(with most dogs it can lead to "guarding" dead coons, which can lead to agressiveness later) but i never worried about that with crank, with her its all about just lending a helping hand........

sorta like a bird dog going after a duck or quail and bringing it back for ya

I can tell you everything that little hussy does, is entirely on instinct...she will even bury food caches when she is pregnant, like a fox or coyote does.

her brain is ruled by her genetic code, that was programed at conception. That means EVERYTHING she is, is passed on to her offspring. With Crank, thats a huge bonus.

Took Ollie for a walk the other night. Trees 3 times but couldn't get **** things to look. Me an dad tried for like 15 min on each one. Told him I waiting for leaves to come off more then really put pressure on him.

I showed this thread (and the pic) to Chels. She said to tell ya HER girl looks pretty on that tree (but u should prob wipe the mud off her leg cause pretty girls dont get muddy )hahaha

Chels is married now, has a 2yr old son (Jeep) and is in her second year of college. WY and the others still have a soft spot in her heart, but neither of us hunts anymore.

When you have walked with the WY's, the Cranks, and the Looser's........hunting with anything else just sorta seems like going to a tank fight with a pop gun :/

I have always said Crank was my fav with a .22 rifle and a sharp knife, and that is still true.

Looser however, was IMO the epidimy of English perfection. Both in ablilty and conformation. He was the true DUEL PURPOSE ideal. I was lucky to have been apart of it, and perfection comes but once in a lifetime.

Those 2 girls and there pups will go along way towards breed improvement given the chance. I wish you, and them the best.
