Stacey, she looks like a strong swimmer! They have a nice pond down there in Troy, it is a pretty long one if I remember correctly. Lit'l Ann will probably get the hang of jumping in the more she does it. Keep up the good work & good luck at the IL youth event next weekend!

Got an update from Tim Chase. He finished CH PR Red Fever City Of Lights "Paris" (Clyde X Ann) to NITECH! She finished with 3 first place wins. Congrats Tim & Paris!

That makes 5 hunt titled dogs for Clyde (out of 5 different females) and puts him at 5% reproducing rate........and that number should only continue to climb. Thank you to all of you campaigning a Clyde pup!

Had a fun but busy weekend!

Aubrey took Tater to Pearl City Friday night and picked up a 2nd place win in the Night Hunt!

Saturday, we went to Hebron's Wisconsin State Championship....

Well the coon were out last night seen 10 driving around. I seen one bunch of kits. I took Chief and Jr out they hit a hot track and made short work of it and hit the tree with some big locates and rolled it over to hard chop. Sure makes me excited when i hear them hit a tree like that. Jr ran right with Chief and treed hard when i got to the tree he was hanging on the side of the tree.

We were up at Greenwood yesterday for the other events. In the Field Trial:
*PR Red Fever She's Cherry (Ox X Lucy) won line in her heat
*PR Red Fever Russian Roulette (10 month old Gunner X Bonnie pup) won line in her heat
*PR Red Fever Ain't Going Down "Sunni" (Ox x Shiloh) won line in her heat and line and tree in the semi-finals. Sunni also won BOS female in the show.

Nice job everyone. we have been having a rough spell with Little Ann. The illinois State youth hunt the young casts didn't see a coon. Between no rain,lots of brush and kitten coon she has had a hard time finishing tracks the last couple weeks. She finally treed 2 last night after the rain so hopefully by the end of the week we can have her back on course. My daughter is hunting her this weekend in the Iowa state youth hunt.

Stacey i think everyone has trouble with kitten coon but keep at it they will smell a little stronger as they get bigger. But till than they can make you want to pull your hair out.

Carl it is a little crazy at times.We keep chugging away the heat and late nights make it tough getting up at 5:00 . I keep having to tell myself she is still young. We are hoping to make night champion by 2 but not sure here lately. She does alot better with the leaves off around here. I think at the youth hunt the field trial and hunt was a little to much for her.

I've been a bit behind on updating......sorry guys! Not too much new here. It has been hot and dry here lately, and with Aubrey getting up at 3:45 AM for work......lets just say he hasn't been getting much hunting done.

He did take Dice to the Badger State Championship last weekend, and they got a cast win, but didn't have quite enough for the NITECH win.

Heard from Terry Goza......he and his boys hit the Missouri State Youth hunt this weekend. PR Goza's Sing Along Rock N Roll (Rip x Rose) won line and tree in his heat in his first water race ever! Rock also won class and breed in the show. Congrats Terry & boys!

Stacey, kitten coons and dry conditions are both really hard on a young dog. Don't worry about her, she's doing great for being just a year old. With an early starter like you have, sometimes it is easy to forget about their age and compare them to older dogs that have had several seasons on them. She'll learn from all of it, and be just that much stronger next year as a 2 yr old. Keep up the good work with her. You and your kids should think about Family Fun Days at Hebron in July or Family Fun Days at Wilton in August. Lots of fun for the kids.

I see I didn't even update from American Redbone Days! Ooopps! It was a good time. Had a lot of fun visiting with old friends and new. Sunni won line in her heat in the Field Trial on Friday, and Tater won tree in his heat, 2 semi-finals, and the finals on Saturday. Aubrey had good hunts on both Thursday and Friday night, Dice did a nice job. Dice & Roger Prior's Candy female won Hunting Pair Females on Friday. Here's a few pics. from the weekend.
