John ,one of my favorites .. I had taken Anna on her first and last swim in the river ..the day this was taken .. We had just gotten back to dads .. This is how Anna slept many many nights !

WB, a few creeks got a little water, but nothing to brag about. It would take 20+ inches to make the slough run . All the sink holes are dry. The ground is soaking it up as fast as it comes down.

Pooodle mouth is a silent tree dog but come on up my light stays on charge and ole Link was the one last night having to put batteries in everything and stuff not being charged

Shannon - Thanks for sharing Anna's story with me. I enjoyed reading about her and I also enjoyed the pics. Post all the pics you want and the poem too. I would love to read it.

wbond - I live about 2 hours Northeast of Wooster. I am about 3 miles west of the PA border and 30 miles South of Lake Erie. I am about halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh (60 miles each way). Do you have family or friends in Wooster?

Drinking and Driving
Sharing an experience with you all, about drinking and driving.
As you well know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities
on our way home from the odd social session over the years.
A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends
at the Hilton Hotel and had a few too many Margaritas
and some rather nice red wine.
Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit,
I did something I've never done before .... I took a bus home.
Sure enough I passed a police roadblock,
but as it was a bus they waved it past.
I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real surprise,
as I have never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got it!

restaurant had a senior citizen discounts.

Never could get on here last night...Unlike Lyle...I didn't do a thing on the comp. after a bit but I DID go to BED! WOoo HOoo! lol... I don't think I'll ever really catch up on sleep but I can try!
John... I got on here, looked thru the posts and Pix and REALLY enjoyed them all... then I got to your funny ones and was laughing and laughing and now I can't recall what I was gonna say about anything...to anyone! lol...

THanks for the compliments on my mums house. It WAS a cool place to grow up...but a bit spooky too. Also, having my dad's offices on the first floor, which was open to the second floor where we lived kinda STUNK...cause I was a loud obnoxious kid...LOL.. still am!

Shannon, yes I had retired racing greys, 2 of them! TopGun was my first- he is in my sig. pic. on a caged coon. HE WAS COOL! We had a track very close with adopt. program funded by the track! He came from there. Leading sire, wicked fast but UNraced...so also UNtrained! LOL... having a 95 lb PUP hound is a learning exp. But he was my love.... the other was an older one, Kingie. King was a big winner here at the RI track and went to the home of an older woman who's daughter knew the trainer. He was an Irish bred...smaller and totally diff. from Gunner but they LOVED each other tons. King needed a home when his owner had to go to assisted living. That was when I had the honor of doing the visits there and later int he nursing home with my 2 dolls(and a kitty)... I have made lifelong friends with the daughter of the elderly lady because of Kingie...a REAL blessing. Both are gone now... I ADORED them and will have them when I'm too old to handle coonhounds...because MOST greyhounds off the track are SO well handled and well behaved! AWESOME pets...and hunters too. If NOT off the track but bred by hunters they are thicker skinned and coated. The racedawgs are WICKED thin skinned... lots of stitches and staples just from play.

OK... gotta see wassup and get some rest in...gotta do a fasting bloodtest in the morning...which will have me GRUMPY(no coffee lol).... so I think a good nights sleep is a must?

Heather, hey ! Greyhounds are very sweet !! Dads are !! But bad breath .. He he .. Spice .. Still runs around dads house every night as fast as she can!! She's been catching dads chickens now .. Lol sooo dads has to keep them penned..so you have or had horses ? I grew up with them too .. I had a app. That liked to have killed me several times and I also barrel raced , but that was many years ago .. Lol that was the only time I uses my saddle ..I always road bare back with a bridle , jeans, tank top , and of course cowboy boots .. Lol .. My daughter Lindsay now has her a fine looking horse !! Beautiful lep. App.. I'll post a pic of him and her for ya !!
