Kenny, Reb is looking good! Definitly a family tradition, I think most Rip pups have the same look and tree style.....and in looking back at pictures of GRNITECH Dawn's Timber Jack and dogs out of him.....I think we know where Rip gets it!

Nice turkey, Carl! Not that I know much about turkeys, but Aubrey says it's a nice one! We might have to try and break you off of all of that off game though, think we'd need a Tri-tronics? Sometimes when they get a little age on 'em, they're a little harder to break!

Josh Wilson and his friend David came and went hunting with Aubrey last night. Dogs did a nice job, and Aubrey really enjoyed the fellowship.

Speaking of Rip's traits and how it carries onto his offspring, I think I know where I get my hunting drive.

My turkey season is also this week. I went yesterday and this morning as well, and also managed to work 6p-6a last night, and make it to a dr's appt. Amazing what a 2-3 hour power nap will do!! Back to work tonight, but I took the 2nd half of my shift off, so that I can be home at midnight and back up at 4am to chase gobblers all day!! Pretty excited, I have no other obligations going on tomorrow, so I know where I'll be!!

Congratulations to Nate Schultz and his CH PR River Bluff Sing Red Georgia on their 2nd place win last night at Elgin, which finished Georgia to NITECH!! She is a little over 2 years old, and is owned by Nate and his brother Matt. Georgia is out of NITECH GRCH Two Worlds Collide, and Terry Goza's NITECH CH PR Sing Along Wild Rose. Congratulations Guys! Great Job!!

Aubrey hunted Elgin as well with NITECH GRFCH GRWCH GRCH PR Red Fever Gangsters Pair A Dice. Won his cast with 300+, but another NITECH cast came in with more.

You guys sure take some nice pics. My daughter finished Ann to show champion at the redbone sectional in Mediapolis. They had aa pretty good turnout and she won Best of show against some pretty nice looking dogs. Were not sure how she'll do against the champions she is very small but put together nice. The hunt didn't go as well as I hoped but we had fun and consider it practice for the next one.

Stacey, so sorry, I think I missed this update or something (or maybe I spaced it, I got another year older this week so you never know )��anyway, Congrats! You guys are doing a great job with Lil Ann, and it sounds like you�re having some fun�..keep up the good work!

Dreamer looks good, Carl. In that first pic she really reminds me of Dice, but around here we thought she resembled Ox more�..hopefully she�ll just be a good combo of the two!

Aubrey�s been really busy with work (masonry and around home here), but he did manage to get Dice out a few times this week with the kids��you know they were happy about that!

On three dogs from your kennel with cast wins. Was a short night got home at 4:30 am back up at 8:00 am. But it was worth it. In the open reg Bill got fourth and i got third. And in the nt ch cast Dice won but a little short.

Whats the penalty?

4 dog cast and 3 dogs declared struck. Dog A is declared treed, wait the five minutes, and score the tree. As the cast is walking away from the tree to listen for the other dogs handler A cuts his dog without any of the struck dogs opening. None of the other dogs barked and the 8 minutes was never ran and the question is what is the penalty? Is the dog scratched, does the handler just get a warning and scratched on the second offense, or is there another rule.

Thanks for the info, Matt. Aubrey wasn't there, but heard about it. How B. Hanson typed it wasn't exactly how he heard it, but there are a lot of situations, that unless you were there, are exagerated when retold. It is hard to explain what happens in the woods on the computer, especially with the way some people type! They talked to 2 different MOH, and there was a ruling made. From what Aubrey heard, it was a good cast and everyone had a good time. Take care.
