Thanks for all the Prayers! Brandon is WAY better so far today and his fever broke! WOOooHOOoo! I actually slept again almost all day yesterday... and today despite a slight headache and neck ache... I feel decent!
The heat is on it's way back here. Was nice today, just about 80 but BREEZY. Tomorrow the hot stuff comes back. Bob starts vacation tomorrow... will be VERY busy here working on installing laminate floors in the existing house- AFTER getting some of the GROSS carpet out first... lol... YUCKY work!

Bond, glad the BOOTS worked!

Morn'n, well things sure turned around. Usually yawl northeners send us the cold in the winter, now yawl done gone and started sending us the hot in the summer. Been low 90's all week, now gona get up above 100 for the next few days.

Blondes working at a Habitat For Humanity house

Two blondes were doing some carpenter work on a Habitat for Humanity House. Lisa was nailing down house siding, would reach into her nail pouch, pull out a nail & either toss it over her shoulder or nail it in.

Judy asked, ‘Why are you throwing those nails away?' Lisa explained, 'When I pull a nail out of my pouch, about half of them have the head on the wrong end & I throw them away.'

Judy yelled, ‘NO – NO - Those nails aren't defective! They're for the other side of the house!'

Weekend Assignment

The kids filed into class Monday morning. They were all very excited.
Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on salesmanship.
Little Sally led off. "I sold Girl Scout cookies and I made $30" she said proudly, "My sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success."
"Very good", said the teacher.
Little Debbie was next. "I sold magazines" she said, "I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events."
"Very good, Debbie", said the teacher.
Eventually, it was Little Johnny's turn. The teacher held her breath. Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher's desk. "$2,467", he said.
"$2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling?"
"Toothbrushes", said Little Johnny. "Toothbrushes", echoed the teacher, "How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?"
"I found the busiest corner in town", said Little Johnny, "I set up a Dip & Chip stand and I gave everybody who walked by a free sample."
They all said the same thing, "Hey, this tastes like dog poop!" Then I would say, "It is dog poop. Wanna buy a toothbrush? I used the President Obama method of giving you some crap, dressing it up so it looks good, telling you it's free and then making you pay to get the bad taste out of your mouth."
Little Johnny got five stars for his assignment. Bless his heart.

Corky hope your all ok down there talked to linkous he is ok no power up here in most places got a house full we got power and ac putting up cots and air mattress all over the house over half of Christiansburg has no power BB button down the hatches its headed your way I severl trees down here had to clean up the driveway to get everybody here 50 to90 mph wall of winds from wythville to stanton I have never seen anything like it what a mess debris every were went and got Jamies Aunt ant brought here her she is 85 and had no power they are power lines laying in the road all over the place

Morn'n, the South has caught up with the north on the heat. Bustiing 100 next few days. Saw on weather last night that yawl had some bad winds, hope everyone made it through safe and with little to no damage.
