congrats on all those females matt. my sky dog still dont look any different brought her to the welping box and letting her get use to it just in case. she should have them by friday if we figured right.

Yes, Seed made a good cross on Diamond. I know some of the old hounds in the sires background... I hunted with a lot of them years ago... nice job Mike!

Mike to many leaves for me but the weather is great.the farmers are just getting in the fields.only a few soy bean fields ready in this area. I have heard good things about the male you mated to Diamond and heard he had a real nose on him and could move a track pretty good. Did you happen to see the male out of Stinger and Lou while you were down?I checked ou his pedigree and it looked good and I have heard of most out of his pedigree.you doubled up on some Vaughn crosses that I liked.Good Luck should work.Did katie catch or not?

I don't think Katie bred, I think she's having a false pregnancy, she's bagged up and has milk but isn't showing any, I don't know. She might have a pup or two in her but I sure can't feel any. I did get a look at Jasons male out of stinger and lou, he is a looker! Amanda took some pics of him, but between the rain and him doing laps on the chain, most are blury. I sure liked him though, he was built for speed and had a good mouth on him.

Mike, Ruby is in heat now.I don`t want to raise more pups at this time.If Lou caught i`ll be puppied out again.You can use her if you wanted to raise a litter out of Slew.I don`t have the room for more than two litters at the same time.It looks like Fly is going to raise 5 females and 2 males.did you breed Angel again and has the boys been deer hunting yet.I`ll be talking to you soon Matt....

I have two litters on the way also with pepper x slew and diamond x coach, I don't have any more room either! I would like to make that cross with Ruby sometime though, Slew is throwing some nice pups, it don't hurt that he has been bred to top females! I didn't breed angel, I want to put up some hides with her and I'm starting my nephews pup out of her and Slew, he looks to be a natural already. Mike

Just getting settled in from the round up.I sure did have a good time talking to ol friends and meeting and making new ones.this is a favorite hunt of mine and hunting out of Flora is as good as it gets,first class people all the way.
Kid did manage to get a nt.ch win on thursday night scoring 475 + and 350 circle and what a cast of hounds we had.Kid he looked good all weekend and I couldn`t be more proud of his performance.he`s by far not perfect, just a nice hound.we`ll be going to school again this week and try and be ready for some sectionals here in OHIO in the next few weekends.
I want to congradulate all the winners alot of first class people.I`ll try and post a few pictures soon.

I just wanted to let you know I bred Dixie(littermate to Kidd) to Rooks Banging Blue Spud(Dryfork Blue Spud X Welsh Mountain Amanda) today.I think it will be a super good cross.A lot of good blood up close.

Mike he does have the best personality and he is a happy hound.I know right before the show he was so happy to be showing off and getting to be the center of attention.
I had fun agravating Ellie Mae and I had asked if she would help me get kid ready for the show at the last minute and she said you know who your showing against and I said yea you. LOL
So of course here came the grooming supplies and kid he just had a big ol smile on his head.
Ellie Mae (Debbie Killough) Thanks for helping out with kid and way to go on getting King of Show.You both are very deserving and all the hard work on getting chip ready has payed off.

Tom Jennings and I went for a few drops tonight.Tom brought Image and Baby Six, I took Kid,we seen some pretty good hound work and not so pretty work.LOL we did manage to get the hounds under 7 coon.it amazes me how many coon these hounds have treed.Kid has been under a few in the last couple weeks himself.I`m getting ready to start hunting my young hounds and get them ready for season.

i`ve been asked if I was going to start a new thread on Kid ,not at this time he is a real nice coon treeing hound.I`m thinking about paying up his performance for this one litter.I`m just not forsure if it would pay off.I have 6 pups 4 are females.If i did pay the performance up I would have to charge more for the pups.
If you know anybody that might be looking for a young pup give them my number I have three left to sell.

I`ll try and get some pictures on here of the pups.does it matter to you if your pups was or wasn`t paid.I know alot more people hunt females in the hunts and their are 4 females.Fly has a outstanding mouth on her and her offspring are loud too.she tends to throw hard going track hounds that can move a track with speed and they don`t wear down.good balanced hounds and bawl and chop on tree.find Mike Fairchilds thread Slew at stud and listen to Slew he is off of Fly.this is Kids 2nd litter so we`ll have to try and see if he reproduces his likeness which would be awesome.this blood has crossed well for years.and will make wonderful scent hounds that can be used on about anything.thanks for the interest and Good Luck with Jack.By the way he had a real mouth on him when he was a young one.
