When I was a boy, my momma would send me down to the corner store with $1. I'd come back with 5 bags of potatoes, 2 loaves of bread, 3 bottles of milk, a hunk of cheese, a box of tea and 6 eggs. Cant do that now...........................

Lipstick in schools

According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington
was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls
were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was
fine, but after they put on their lip stick, they would press their lips to
the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints.

Every night the maintenance man would remove them, and the next day
the girls would put them back.

Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She
called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance
man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem
for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night (you can just
imagine the yawns from the little princesses).

To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she
asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required.

He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and
cleaned the mirror with it. Since then, there have been no lip prints on
the mirror.

There are teachers ... and then there are educators

There was a bit of confusion at the store this morning. When I was ready to pay for my groceries, the cashier said, "Strip down, facing me."

Making a mental note to complain to my congressman about Homeland Security running amok, I did just as she had instructed.

When the hysterical shrieking and alarms finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to my credit card.

I have been asked to shop elsewhere in the future.

They need to make their instructions to us seniors a little clearer

Good afternoon everyone. It has finally cooled down here, only 78 today I like this. We are however extremly dry. The forecast seems like it is always calling for rain but we aren't getting it. The lawn is burning up and the garden isn't growing much.

James - my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your uncle.

Howdy!

Had some rain...storms all went past us again..lol.. they seem to like to split and go above and below us... We got a tiny bit of rain, some wind and it cooled off some! YAY!

Nothing else new... We were supposed to be at Bob's ant and uncles for a visit...but Brandon(middle son, 21) is sick so we rescheduled....hopefully next weekend?
Watching a movie called... don't laugh too hard " RABID GRANNIES" LOL.. some horror flick or something... I was the fool who chose it... has us laughing.... It is a little dirty and really poorly made British film....Not recommended but we LOVE watching pathetic movies here...

Way back in my youth we used to jump off the rock but now the got signs posted every where no jumping of the rock but back than it was the place to be just about every on would jump off the lower part some would jump off the lower level even some girls would try the second but if you really wanted to score points with that hot girl in the bikini you went off the top no way would I do that today some times I wonder how I survived my youth
