Going to sell some hides today!! Pretty tricky getting a good pic with a TEN second timer but we did it!! lol Its not a truck load but driving truck 5 nights a week cuts in to my hunting time!!!

Went out a couple of times. Last night treed a layup with Chief and Chance.

Took Collin Landis his frist time ever coonhunting i think he liked it.

And went with Ric Pedretti. And treed on a den.

Yes Ric it was a pretty good hunt and some good dog work. And i enjoyed the company. I like to visit anyway or talk dogs.

Looks like you had some fun hunts there, Carl, with Ric & Collin. It is always nice to take someone new out and introduce them to the sport.

Got an update from Terry Goza on the Ox & Rose pups he has there at his house. Sounds like they need no help finding the hide, and can really lock it down. Keep up the good work with them, Terry!

Ox & Rose pups treed on a drag at 4 1/2 months.

Also got an update from Doug and Sue on their Ox & Paris female. Here's what they had to say:

"Hello Ann & Aubrey,

Just thought I would update you on Reba, she treed her first coon last night!! By herself (10 months old), and it was a lay up coon. She has a great locate bawl and stayed on the tree.
Coons are real thin here, the timber is real hard to travel through due to the past 2 yrs of ice storms and logging, and nothing is flat here, it's one ridge after another.
Doug says Reba has a great nose on her and she was a coondog last night, and she gets better and better. She's still a puppy but she's coming along great!!
I want to Thank You!! for what you are doing to support the the Redbone breed.

Here is the sheds and the buck i was hunting but the neighbor's brother'inlaw got him.

That's a nice buck, Carl.....a big one for sure!!! It's amazing that you found the match, and how they grow back the same shape.

We have 6-8 inches of snow here, below zero temps....can't wait for warmer weather again!! Enjoyed watching this video this morning Scott took when the NH boys were up for a visit......brought back good memories!

1 on the ground and 1 good solid track. Uni even fired up on the ground coon. I missed most of it. The coon made it up a sapling before I got there.

I went out for a little bit put one in a hole. But Jr sounds just like Chief on track. That sure makes you start guess when the same voice is in two different spots lol.

Carl & Scott.....looks like you guys are getting a little hunting in. Aubrey hasn't been hunting any lately, busy with work and not terribly interested in tromping around in the snow I don't think.....though with this warm up we're having, the snow will be gone soon....then he'll be hard to keep in the house!

Congrats on the baby.
Aubrey we had a fun hunt last night. Three good Walkers and Little Ann. 3 den trees, a hole in the ground and 1 coon on the outside.
The little red 15 month old puppy treed the only coon seen by herself. She still hasn't backed another dog. She still doesn't go deep but does her own thing and usually ends up with a coon.

I don't think this will ever happen again so I have to rub it in a little to thes guys. We had fun and seen some nice dog work , my kids went along and were pretty impressed with there puppy.
Hopefully she keeps progressing.

Hey guys, I recently got ahold of the fella's that had bought "Jazz" from me, they were looking to breed her (which was a major surprise as I was under the impression that when she got hit by the car she had died) well, anyways, they wanted to breed her and I wanted to hunt with her, she turned into a pretty nice dog, I hunted her for a month or so right after deer season, she sure could smoke a track, has a little problem with ambition but I think that's because of who owned her.

Great update, Stacey. Glad to hear that Lil Ann is doing well and putting coon up trees. She is doing great for a 15 month old, just keep hunting her.

Lizz, Glad to hear that Jazz doing well for her owners. She looks real good in the updated pics and sounds like she is doing a pretty decent job. I think you might be confused though, that puppy picture is not of Jazz, but Douglas Compton's Cash pup off of Clyde X Rain....it's on page 16 of this post if you want to check it out. Anyway, good luck with your litter! Hope she has a pile of good ones for you.

Also wanted to add another update we received a few days ago.....thought some of you might be interested since she is a littermate to some of your dogs (or she's related to most everyone's dog from us somehow ) . She is a 15 month old pup off of the Clyde X Chance cross:

"Just wanted to say thank you for the pup i got from you guys she is doing great. she was hunted every nite i went this kill season and we got 224 coon, she has split treed from the old dogs many times and she has got a good nose and can really push a track. As of rite now she will be put in the hunts as soon as they start around here(march). Im goin to hunt her by herself this month so she will be ready. She has only one problem and its not really a problem but in the last week she has caught more on the ground than she has treed (6 on the ground 4 treed), My brother says i need to get her fat so she will slow down lol. Time will tell but i really dont think it will take long to make her nite ch. i will keep you up to date on how she does. thanks again Dusty"
