Thanks for the congrats. Hopefully Andy and I can get a few breaks now that the NtCh title is out of the way. Just happens sometimes I reckon. I have a NtCh gyp lined up to breed when she comes in and we will see how it affects his disposition. He has the best disposition now and I don't want to get him aggressive. Gone breed one and see how it goes. Hollar and we will go hunting!!

HUNT

Trent I am going to head up to Terry Tibbs place on Friday night to hunt and pick up a pup out of Razor and a Rambo x smokey river gyp. Saturday I will be out of town as me and my wife are headed to Lawrenceburg, TN. She has been wanting to go and we didn't do anything for our anniversary because she had to work.

HUNT
I went by myself last night. I took Andy and Cy. First drop I cut Andy alone. He went about 600 yds and struck. It was a short track and he loaded up treed. I made my way to him and he was up a red oak that ran into another huge red oak. He was in the edge of a pine thicket and I could only see one side of the tree. I didn't look too long because it was so thick. I cut Cy and Andy loose up a small branch. Cy struck and Andy struck the other direction. Cy soon loaded up and Andy backed him pretty quick. They were up a huge sweet gum on the creek with a coon. I led them a ways up the hill and recut them. They struck about 200 yds deep and started moving a track pretty good. I heard Andy load up treed followed quick by Cy. They blowed the top out and I made my way to them. They were on a den tree but had a coon. I petted them up and called it a night. I will hit it again on Weds night.
Cotton just keeps getting bigger, won't be long now!!

I am liking ole Cy. He has the tools but is still doing some things I don't like. Hopefully he will mature into a good one!! I have been getting after it pretty good since football is over. Birthdays and Anniversary's hit me hard in Oct and Nov. so it puts a damper on a night or two of my hunting. Sounds like your young dogs are doing good, stay on em and Keep'em Lookin' Up,

Hunt

I hunted last night with my friend Terry Tibbs. First drop we cut his Razor male and my Cy pup. They left hard and Razor soon struck. Razor treed and Cy backed him but soon left the tree. We got to the tree and it was a leafy tree running into more trees. We couldn't get it to look. Cy got deep and got treed. We got to him and he had a coon. We rolled it out to him. We cut Andy and Terry's fly gyp loose. Andy slammed a tree and fly backed. We didn't see the coon there. We cut them again and both dogs blew up treed on a den. We called it a night with the 2 1/2 hr drive I had to get home. Tall keep'em Lookin up. Darren

Bad luck.

Well it goes from bad to worse. BB has been lathargic and not eating good for a week. Took her and Cotton to get today. BB had Blastosis and it had gotten in her eyes. She was 90 percent blind and had already gotten leashons on her eyes. Her lungs was full of spores and we had to put her down. Man when it rains it pours.

HUNT

My nephew hunted with me last night. We made a couple drops. First drop we cut Andy and Cy. There was complete silence for the longest time. I finally barely heard some dogs DEEP. Looked at the Garmin and they were .65 miles. We drove around and they were treed. We got there and they were on a huge den tree. Next drop we cut Rickett and my new female out of GrNtCh PR Coney River Big Money and GrChNtCh PR Uchtman's Blue Cami. Rickett struck followed by Sadie. They ran a hot track down a branch and Rickett treed. Sadie was off the tree as she has only been hunted a handful of times. We rolled the coon out and Sadie really is coon crazy. I think with a little hunting she will be ok. She has a huge mouth. Y'all Keep'em Lookin' Up!!

It has been a rough week with Cotton having a miscarriage and losing all her pups and then having to put BB down. Sort of knocks the wind out of a feller. Darren

Darren sorry to hear about all of your bad luck as of late. I still believe everything happens for a reason and maybe some good will come out of it all.
Glad to hear you got Sadie, I assume she is the female that was sent down there as a pup. It makes me sick to think she has only been hunted a handfull of times. When I made that cross over two years ago I hoped they would all get hunted. I guess if she is going to get hunted it will be by you. I try and get the pups that come out of here in the hands of hunters or they will never become anything sitting in the kennel.
I kept back some pups out of the last two crosses here with the intent of starting them here or getting them in the right hands. You are always welcome to something out of here when you run out of pups to mess with.

Scott, Sadie is the female that you sent down here. A young guy ended up with her at about 7 or 8 mths old. He just is busy with school, ball games, girls and whatever else comes along. Sadie just hasn't had a chance. She is really crazy over a coon so maybe she will come around pretty quick. Time will tell.

Hunt
Drake and Griffin took Andy and Cy last night. Drake said they made 2 trees and seen 2 coons, so they had a good night. I had to stay with my 5 yr old little girl as my wife had some meeting to go to.
