LOTS OF DISTRACTION THESE DAYS

THERE IS SO MUCH BAD THAT KIDS THESE DAYS CAN FALL INTO. SHOWING THEM THE HOUNDS AT AN EARLY AGE CAN SURE HELP KEEP THEM ON THE RIGHT ROAD AS THEY GET OLDER. IT BECOMES PART OF THEM LIKE IT HAS BECOME PART OF US. <v>

YOU CAN SWITCH BREEDS FASTER THAN I CAN CHANGE MY SKIVEYS. ALL KIDDING ASIDE, FOR EVERY MINUTE A KID SPENDS WITH A HOUND(no matter what color) AND AN ADULT THAT MAKES THAT TIME SPECIAL, THEY GET FARTHER FROM THE BAD INFLUENCES THAT ARE OUT THERE EVERYWHERE. KEEP THEIR HEAD FULL OF GOOD THINGS LIKE HOUNDS AND HUNTING, IT MAKES ALOT LESS ROOM FOR THE BAD. GOOD LOOKIN BLACK DOGS AND YOUNG MAN HANDLING THEM. <v>

BLACK DOGS

THEY ARE MY SECOND FAVORITE. I HAD A GOOD ONE A FEW YEARS BACK OUT OF FIDDLER'S MASTERPIECE. HE CAME FROM DAVE FELTMAN. DAVE HAS A DOG NOW CALLED JAMMER AND IF I WAS AFTER A BLACK DOG, I'D CHECK HIM OUT. DAN D HAS THE FOGGY DOG UP HERE TO THAT IS A GOOD ONE THROWING GOOD ONES. I DO HAVE A WEAKNESS FOR A GOOD BLACK DOG. <v>

Lady (Spit x GF), got to chew on some coon last night. I was hunting Man and Bree and letting her tag along, and Man and Bree started treeing, sort of, and then when I got there so was Lady. They took a track to a hole, but as I sat there coaxing Lady and praising her when she did tree with them, I noticed a glimpse of fur in the hole. It was about that time that Man pulled out a dead coon. It had been in there for a while, but I wouldn't say too long. Warmer weather can't be too far away..... We hope.

HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN

TODD AND I WAS ON A PKC CAST OUT IN IOWA A COUPLE YEARS AGO. SAGE TREED A TREE THAT HAD A DEAD COON IN THE BOTTOM AND THE LIVE ONE SQUEEZED BY AND WENT ON UP IN. WATCHED HIS TAIL DISAPPEAR UP INTO THE DEN JUST IN TIME FOR THE JUDGE NOT TO SEE IT. PLUS UM UP, A COON IS A COON AIN'T IT. ??? THEY HAD A "U CAN'T RUN AND TREE A DEAD COON" CONVERSATION, THEN THERE WAS THE HE LOOKS DEAD, CAN YOU PROVE HE'S DEAD? MAY BE WE RAN HIM TO DEATH. LOL. THE REAL COON THAT GOT RUN IN THERE THAT WE SAW DIDN'T REALLY EVEN GET TALKED ABOUT, BECAUSE THAT WASN'T THE COON EVERYONE COULD SEE. FUNNY STUFF THEM NIGHT HUNTS. <v>

Its been a few years ago an old timer and I were out hunting, and he explained to me how you never knock out any coon until you start treeing litters of kits. I agreed "yadda yadda " until we moved spots. The dogs hunted about 10 minutes before his Grnite female loaded up off a locate. My old hag stuck it with her, and when we got there they treed a hung up coon from 10 days before that was hung up for a young female. I thought that guy was gonna have a stroke over that deal, but rode to Bussey with him both nights last weekend lol.

JOHN AND HIS FATHER, J.W."JIM" ADAMETZ ALWAYS HAD GREAT STORIES TO TELL OF YEARS GONE BY AND HUNTING WITH GUYS LIKE DAVE DEAN, JIM ROSENWALD, ED DELANEY, JERRY SEVERSON AND MANY MORE OF THE BLUETICK FRATERNITY. SOME OF MY FONDEST MEMORIES ARE OF THE ADAMETZ' FARM, COON AN COYOTE HUNTING WITH THEM AND JOHN FARMING WITH THE HORSES. THE PERCHERONS ARE JOHNS FIRST LOVE. JOHN WAS THE HEAD TEAMSTER AT CIRCUS WORLD IN THE WISCONSIN DELLS FOR AWHILE. HE RAISES AND TRAINS THE BIG BLACKS AND HAS WON THE NATIONAL LOGGING CHAMPIONSHIP IN VIRGINIA TWICE.THE ADAMETZ CLAN OF DEER HUNTERS WOULD COME OVER WHERE I LIVED AND WE WOULD MAKE SOME DEER DRIVES. THEY ALWAYS WANTED PHYLISS(JOHN'S MOM) IN THE BEST SPOT TO CUT THE DRIVE OFF, AS THEY KNEW SHE WAS THE BEST SHOT OF THE BUNCH. THOSE WERE THE DAYS. <v>
