Thanks everybody, we had a blast this weekend.

Friday night I drew Tommy Higgins with Molly and a guy named Travis with an English female. It poured rain the entire cast. We made a couple of trees but never looked at a coon.

Last night I drew Michael Crowe with Radar, Cody with Tommy Higgins Drum dog and a young man with a Black and Tan male. It was one of the best casts I've ever been on. No fussing, no arguing, everybody helped find everybody's coons. It was a pleasure hunting with all 3 of those guys.

Brummy won with 500+ 0- 0-circle. He won King of Hunt, Grands, and Overall Saturday night High Scoring dog.

I want to say thank you to the West Point Lake CHA and Lance and Dana and everybody else from BBOA Zone 6, ya'll put on a GREAT hunt. It sure was good seeing some folks I haven't seen in awhile.

congradulation on your win and it was good seeing you again, maybe one day i will own a blue dog tommy and jeff has been on me pretty good ,but i got the next best thing a walker that was trained with tommies dog molley,by the way this terry.

Shoot! I don't know if I believe that or not. Looked to me like ya'll were always in the middle of something!

I don't think I have ever heard anybody say a bad word about Tommy. He's a class act all the way around.

Thanks everybody for the congrats. I really like this old dog. He gets treed with a coon and stays and doesn't draw you much minus. He isn't perfect but I sure enjoy hunting him.

Thanks Michael! I had a blast. Ya'll all were some of the best folks I've ever drawn.

I'm glad Curt was able to get Bess from ya'll, I think she's going to be just what he was looking for.

Tony and Brutus has been doing well. I've not turned mine loose yet. I just stop by and listen for a few then get home and get stuff ready for the next day. I hope to have everything done so I can start hunting in about a month. This is the first day in about 10 that it did not rain. We have been getting about 2.5" a day and coons are out.

We've been getting rain pretty steady too. I'm glad for it.

I need to brag on this Red Freeman coon squaller a minute. The 2nd tree we made was a huge oak with vines all over it. When I first looked up it I thought to myself there is no way we find this coon. After a couple of blows on that handmade squaller he looked dead at me and never turned his head again. Red, I'm impressed with this squaller!

'pr' Brummy's Blue Iron Yo-Ho (Brummy X Daisy)

We had a heck of a weekend folks! It was VERY eventfull! I took a ride over to my ol lady's house after work this afternoon, and she was sure glad to see me back in one peice. haha.

I decided Id take my pups out and see how they acted at night and boy did I get a suprise. They scattered out all over the yard. I thought to myself, shoot I might as well go get that ol' hide out the freezer and see how they act. All three of them went nuts. I took the ol hide and hung it up an ol pear tree in the yard and BAM, my little Yo-Ho pup started treeing! The other two jumped around at the tree a little but never did bark, so I got to thinking.....

I took the two pups that werent treeing and put them in there pen. Then took Yo-Ho and put her in my dog box where she couldnt see what I was doing. I took that ol' hide and drug it around the yard about 10-12 yards, found a tree other than the one I put it on earlier, and hung it up.

I let Yo-Ho, out and she played around my feet as I kind of casually eased toward the spot where I laid the scent. Ya'll should have seen that pup once she caught wind of that hide. It was like metal to a magnent! She put her nose down, picked it back up and went straight to the tree and put the hammer down! Maybe Im over excited, but I have seen too many 11 week old bluetick female pups just tree like this.

Sure, its not like she won the world. But it Darn sure is a good sign!

I'd say that's a good sign for sure Curt! If Coon Dog X Coon Dog matters the BrummyXDaisy cross should most definitely click. I'm glad to see she's so tree minded at a young age.
