Steve and Big Country finished off the week with 4 cast wins out of 6 nights of hunting making it in 3 Final fours. A very impressive week of competition for the two of them. This should put Big country 2nd or 3rd in the state race, and we should also be in the top half of the national standings. We have a lot of things to consider as far as what we want to pursue moving forward. With everyone's schedules its not going to work out to be able to travel to Georgia this year so he will probably be at the $kc world hunt that is closer to home. We hope next year it will work out to make a run at the UKC world. I went ahead a reserved our entry for the Grand Masters Invitational Hunt at Autumn Oaks this year.
We will also have him at the Labor Day Classic for a few nights also. Thanks for keeping up with us!

Ritchie- Does Josie have one more litter left in her this fall? The pups from Big Country x Jazz are doing really good. 4 out of the 7 have treed coons in the wild at night alone. I've not talked to the other three owners to find out the progress on their pups. Take care. Give me a call sometime.

Donny received Big Country's Silver Champion Certificate the other day and Jazz posted her fourth win towards Grand.
Neither dog was hunted in an RQE this year. We have a full plate with other hunts in $KC.

Thanks for inquiring. Donny makes all of the breeding arrangements. Yes, it is tough to get a pup right now. We are trying to stay focused on his competition career right now. Live breeding females is not on our schedule because we don't want to mess with his head.
I have an 11 month old female that I sold to a young boy that I recently bought back that I would consider selling. I had her until she was around 4 months old. She was coming along nicely. she handles well, sits on command and hunts well close by herself but will go deep to other dogs. She split treed from Jazz the other night. She is a smaller built gyp but her hair slick as a mole and she is a naturally muscled up good looking dog with great marking. She has only been hunted a couple of times since I got her back. She has an average mouth but I could hear her in the kennel the other night when I was .8 miles away hunting. She needs a bark collar which she has on now.
I'll take $700 for her and no less.

Thanks everyone. Not the finish we were hoping for but we made the top 20 of a very competitive field.
Our finish puts Big Country at just under $10K this year. The goal is to finish his Gold Champ degree in 2017. Considering that he only had $473 in lifetime earnings in April, that should speak volumes.
If you have a female you want bred, you need to call Donny. He handles all of the breeding arrangements. We are going to be very selective on the females that are bred. We don’t care about producing a lot of pups - we care about producing QUALITY pups. It is not our intention to hurt anyone’s feelings but we are going to do what is best for Big Country first.
