Thank you Danny Glista for sharing with us very briefly information on your Jet 10 pup. Your thoughts were well written, thoughtful and appreciated. Good luck.

Predictions are for our temperature to dip down around 27 tonight. We consider that cold down here. We have had a relatively mild Winter until now. Rain and now cold weather are a blessing.

Whatever goals you set for you and your dogs this year, I hope you have reached them or are very close to.

That may come as quite a shock to all of you that think the males are the only thing you need to be a reproducer. If that is the case, I have a peach basket I will breed to your "Stud" and 63 days later we ought to have a basket full of show nuff hounds.

We do hope to get her bred again and be able to raise all she whelps. I hear her littermate sister Alice has been sold. History might be repeating it's self in this line. Many people do not realize that Tree Slammin Lady and Christian's Gretchen were littermates. These two old gals did some reproducing too. There are other females from the same cross as Joleen and Alice that I predict will bear offspring that will make their mark in our breed as well.

I will let everyone know on here when Joleen is bred-thanks again.

Your killing me CW! These kind of posts get me all fired up. I hope
I have a female again someday that ends up 100% natural from 8 weeks old, and reproduces pups with ability that just amaze you.

From my home to yours, Merry Christmas.

Thanks Cetheridge And Happy New Year to you and yours.

Ed Mead continues to give good reports on his hunts with his male pup from Jet 10. I hope he continues to improve and can do his part to keep this line of dogs going.

Henry Miller has notified me that his Dual Gr. Ch. Bell female, who is double 6 Again bred is heavy with pups from Ed Sturm's Jack who is out of Jet 10. These line bred type crosses have the potential to not only make coon dogs but could also reproduce their likeness for generations to come.

Best of luck to all of you in this new year which has restored hope for most of us and not just for our coon hounds.

Middle and Southwest Georgia got slammed with bad weather yesterday and last night. Praying for everyone affected by these storms. I have worked on storm claims through insurance companies for over twenty years and often amazed that more people are not injured during these catastrophic events.

Anytime I hear about bad weather chances are I know someone who follows these hounds that lives in the area. It is a small world. You just never know when or where the next ones will hit.

More storms are predicted for this afternoon.

Winter Classic

Had a great time at this years Winter Classic. Lots of Blue Dog people and many of the ones that follow these Jet dogs.

Congrats to the cast winners I know about Paul Kieffer with Zoey (Rejet x Hooker). Brett Norman with Ed Mead's Bubba or Moses (Jet 10 x Slip Shot). Sure there are many more I haven't heard about.

Sat in on a great meeting of BBCHA's Board and got to talk with BBOA's President a couple of times. Also got to visit with UKC's President Tonya Rabb. Left Batesville, Ms. feeling good about UKC and the leadership both of our Bluetick organizations-we do not need another one.

I had driven out to Batesville on Monday and made the return trip on Friday. Got my quota in for driving for a little while but sure am glad I made it.

There were other Bluetick men present that I wish time would have allowed me to talk with. Maybe next year.

10CC

My pup from Jet 10 x All Jazzed Up has been visiting at Ed Meads. I say it this way because Ed likes to say "That pup I got from you" To which I always reply "Ed, you mean to say, My pup that is at your house." Then we have to go through the part of "What do you call the pup? I say "Jet, Ed, you can remember that name right?" He laughs and says "Well I'm calling him CW." He and I have been down this road before.

The pup has been doing real well and I will be excited to get him back here as soon as possible. His name is Blue Bio 10 CC. He was the only pup that lived out of the litter. Jazz is a Gr Nt Ch out of 6 Again x Tree Slammin Lady-the last litter out of her. Ed's Lady II and Jazz are littermates.

Glad to have an opportunity to continue with these dogs and I look forward to watching this pup develop.

John and Joe

John and Joe-Ed called last night saying he is headed to Ashland. I told him if I could find someone going from down here he could throw my pup in the box and I could get him back that way. He came right back and said "Not yet, he is opening better and better on hot tracks." I said "Ed he will never open enough to suit you and he will be perfect for me!"

Hoping the weather and the coons cooperate for a great hunt up there. We didn't have much in the way of cold weather down here this year. It feels colder right now than it has all Winter. It is 22.7 degrees as I enter this and yes Sir we consider that cold. Most everything had bloomed, so there may be significant crop damage to the peach crop, not just here but in South Carolina as well.

Up north they over estimated how bad the "blizzard" was going to be. I guess that would be considered "FLAKE" news.

Enjoyed my trip to Michigan for the Dave Dean Tribute Hunt. Hats off to Ken Herman, BBCHA and everyone who helped Ken make this the success it was. I got to see frozen precipitation my one and only time this season. From Snakes to snow but well worth the trip.

Great to see old friends and nice to meet many of the younger ones carrying the Bluetick banner now and in the future. All of us share in that success and an event such as this puts that value on display for all to see. Those of you in attendance are now part of that history.

Hope pictures, results and videos will be shared on here for the ones that could not make it and for those of us that did to relive.

PS: I brought my pup out of 10 and All Jazzed Up home!

Would like to see your 10 pup, and curious as to what you think his strength will be, Dexter.

I will try to get some pictures of 10 CC on here soon. Brett Norman posted a good short video of him on Face Book treed the 1st time he was worked on scent.

I have been hunting him since I got him back down here. Trying to keep my feet on the ground. He is a pup who can and does look good at times-right by himself.

Took Nt Ch Gr Ch Blue Bio Wild N Blue Jet tonight. He made short work of the 1st drop and I saw the coon walking in to the tree. The 2nd drop took a little while to get a strike, a track that took him deep towards the creek and then 6 minutes for me to find the coon. 3rd drop he labored on a cold track and located, I would have treed him and took minus cause he got down and opened on the ground for about a minute and treed again, staying put this time. I told myself to look good for the possibility of there being more than one coon once I got in there to him. He was treed up a big oak that split into two trunks. I found a coon up each side of the tree. The way he worked the track and then locating and leaving-many times one of the coons will tap but they will end up in the same tree .

Big bright moon and a great hunt tonight. Best day of my life so far.

Paul Kieffer sent news of another cast win on he and Scott Phillip's Jet 10 female. She already has a 1st place and now a 3rd place. This little year old female is a natural and should make Nt Ch very soon. Gonna see what my 9 month old 10 CC pup will do in a hunt soon. Thanks Paul for sending this and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Zoey will show back up.

At 6am this morning got a text message from Paul Kieffer that Brandy had finished to Nt Ch and in the process qualified for the UKC World Championship. Brandy is out of Jet 10. Paul found the Zoey female dead in the woods where she fell out of a tree. Brandy making Nt Ch does not make up for loosing Zoey but in some way I hope it dulls the pain. Scott Phillips and Paul, as well as Ed Mead, have predicted big things about this Brandy female. Word is her littermate sister sold for a big sum for a year old female. Ed has spoken with me about making this cross again utilizing frozen semen. I continue to hunt my Jet 10 male out of Gr Nt Ch All Jazzed Up by himself. He turned 10 months old May 4th. `Here is hoping he proves worthy of the lofty predictions that have been made about him. Whenever I put him in the big pen with all these line bred Jet females, I talk to him on the way and tell him you are going to visit with your future girl friends-it is up to you buddy- if you get the job done in the woods, you will get all the girl friends you want.

Sorry to hear about Zoey

Glad to hear about the NT Ch Brandy. Sounds like 10 was throwing some nice ones. May you have big litter of frozen puppies again.

All the best to all involved.

Any updates?

Been reading back through this thread and just wondered if there were any updates with Henry and his pups out of Jack and Bell? Also wondered about Jet 9 x Joleen?

Jack finishing young reminds me of Quail Creek Jet. Nothing excited me more than to see 4-9 month old pups make older dogs look clueless. The night train pup out of Jet V and Inga put up 4 coon in about 45 minutes at 4 1/2 months old with no help. Wouldn't that be a good start to the HTX degree 900+ no - not even 5 months old. :-)

Ch Gr Nt Ch Mead's Blue Jet 10 got killed on this date May 24, 2016. A very hard one for all of us involved with him and one I'm not quite sure that I am over.

Joleen, his dam is dead. She was bred back to Jet 9 but did not have puppies. A lot of effort and money was spent trying to make that happen.

Jet 10 sired only a few litters and not many puppies lived from him. Happy to report that we did and are having very good success with them.

Jet 10 was collected and we have semen stored on him for future use.

Jet 10 was bred to Gr Nt Ch All Jazzed Up and raised the last pup sired by 10. He is a handful. He is named Blue Bio 10 CC. Jazz is out of 6 Again x Tree Slammin Lady.

Ed and I are discussing remaking a cross on 10 that worked very well. If we do every detail will be covered to ensure we can raise the largest litter possible.

Kevin thanks as always for the positive comments. Ron Jackson got your message Sir.

Ed and I have been talking back and forth about who is going to end up with who or which one in this case. I have told him more than once that I'm happy with the pup that's here. He seems to think that the pup would be happier in Michigan at his house.

Ken Herman and I are starting work on a little project we hope will prove interesting for a lot of you. Sure you will be hearing quite a bit about it as we move forward.

We have been getting some good races down here with the wet and cooler weather than usual for this time of year. Guess that is the old boar coons that are giving us those good runs.

Keep fresh water for you and the hounds and watch out for SNAKES!
