The top picture is Nite Ch."PR" Andrew's Blue Maxx. He was the sire of Misty. Maxx was sired by Gr.Nite Ch."PR" McCoy's Michigan Blue Rebel. Maxx's Dam was Ch."PR" Hammer V Holy Blue Terra. Misty's Dam was Bell.

The second picture is Bell and Misty, Mother and daughter. I had many pleasureable nights hunting these two.

The Misty River Line

The 2 pictures above are of two great hounds that I hunted here for many years. At the time of this picture Both hounds were well into their twilight years, as a matter of fact. I think this was the last coon that Bullet ever treed. These two were the sire and Dam of the Bozeman's Jim dog
That I had here for several years and I told his story earlier.
Next I'll tell about Ruby and June a couple more females that made great hounds. That I hunted here for several years. They were not in the line, but were off the line.

Next the rest of the story

The Misty River line

The picture above is of Gr. Nite Ch."PR" Misty River Blue Ruby. Ruby's Sire was Gr. Nite Ch. "PR" Womack's Cotton Eyed Joe Owned by Mr. Hiram Womack of Jackson, Ms. Ruby's Dam was Bell. Ruby was a nice hound with a good mouth.I raised Ruby here and started her and let Ricky Bozeman of Monticello have her. Ricky won a lot of hunts with her. Including the Deep South Championship and the Bayou Classic. Ruby was bred one time that I know of and this cross produced a fine little female by the name of June.
I'll tell her story next. Ruby was off the line, but was not in the line.

Later the rest of the story.

Thanks Bebee Glad that you are enjoying the story

Nite Ch. "PR" Misty River Blue June

Posted by Misty river on 12-30-2015 06:25 PM:

The Misty River Line

The female in the picture above is Nite Ch."PR" Misty River Blue June. Her sire was Gr. Ch. Nite Ch."PR" Misty River Blue Bandit. The young dog that I had bought from Mr. Jack Leatherman and later sold to Ricky Bozeman. Her Dam was Gr. Nite Ch."PR"Misty River Blue Ruby that I also sold to Ricky. I cant take a lot of credit for June making a coon dog for I sold her as a pup to Mr. Warren Hedgespeth That lives a few miles above me. He hunted and trained her and made a coondog out of her. I bought her back when she was about 2 years old. She was a real nice little female. I put her in the hunts and she did well. She Won the Bayou Classic as her mom had and I hunted her in the 1990 BBCHA Fall Round-Up in Hope, Ark. where she was high scoring dog over all and Queen of the hunt. I later let another hunting buddy Mr. Ellis Bass of Oakvale, Ms. have her and he hunted her for several years and she died at his place. I got to hunt with her through out her life time and she was a good one. June was off the line, but was not in the line. Next I will tell about Dixie another good female.

Later the rest of the story

The Misty River Line

The picture above is Nite Ch."PR"Misty River Blue Dixie and Gr. Nite Ch."PR"Misty River Blue Indian Joe. I'll tell Indian Joe's story next. Dixie was a litter mate sister to Gr.Nite Ch.
"PR" Bozeman's Jim. She was a good hound and won her share of hunts. She lost very few cast in competition. She had a good nose, could move a track well and was quick to get treed. My good friend Nikki Martin of Silver Creek, Ms. hunted her quite a bit for me. We hunted her at the BBOA Louisana State hunt on May 20, 1995. She won the Nite champion and was Queen of the hunt. Dixie also won the Mississippi State Ch. female at the Mississippi State Hunt. She was a good one and I enjoyed many nights hunting with her. He Sire was Gr. Nite Ch."PR" Stringer's Blue Bullet
and her Dam was Nite Ch."PR"Misty River Blue Misty.

Later the rest of the story.

Nite Ch."PR" Misty River Blue Velvet

I thought I had a picture here of Velvet. I think I do, if I can find it I will put it on here later. Velvet was a nice hound and I enjoyed many nights in these Pearl River Swamps with her. Her Sire was Gr.Nite Ch. Kirby's Blue Spike owned by Mr. Dennie Kirby. Her dam was "PR" Oakvale's Blue Ruby owned by Mr. Ellis Bass of Oakvale, Ms. Ruby was a litter mate sister to the June female that I told about earlier. I let Ellis have Velvet when she was about 5 years old and he kept her till she died. She was also the Dam of my Gr.Nite Ch."PR" Misty River Blue Indian Joe. I'll tell about him next.

Later the rest of the story

Mr. Jack

I had a Question for you but your PM box is Full. Thank you. Dave Woofter Just sent you an email.

Dave Woofter

I don't know why they say my private message box is full. I only have 1 message on there. It says there are 70 read messages in the folders, but I have tried to find them and had people smarter than me look for them. If they are there they sure did do a good job of hiding that folder. I also looked in my email and I don't have anything there from you. My email address is lakebarr@gmail.com and my phone #601-736-5116. I will call UKC tomorrow and see if they can help me get the pm box straitened out.
Sorry you had trouble reaching me Dave.

Gr. Nite Ch."PR"Misty River Blue Indian Joe

Posted by Misty river on 01-09-2016 07:02 AM:

The Misty River Line

The picture above is Gr. Nite Ch."PR"Misty River Blue Indian Joe. Joe's Sire was Gr.Nite Ch."PR" Bozeman's Blue Jim. His Dam was Nite Ch."PR" Misty River Blue Velvet. I started putting Joe in the nite hunts when he was 14 months old. On Feb. 18, 1995. He won first place at Lumberton, Ms. With 975+. On April 15, he won 1st place at Amite, La. On April 21 and 22 I hunted Joe at The American Heritage Hunt in Hearne, Texas. Where he won his cast both nights and was high scoring bluetick and 2nd place over all. On May 5 Joe won second place at Ovett, Ms. finishing him to Nite Ch. On May 26 I hunted Joe at the Mississippi State Championship in Canton, Ms. where he won the Nite Champion hunt and Ms. State Ch bluetick male. Joe went on to finish to Gr. Nite pretty quick. I enjoyed many nights hunting Joe here in these Pearl River Swamps. The Misty River Line would have probably went on from there with Joe in the line, but as it happens a lot of times, even with Joe being the hound that he was. He did not reproduce. So Mr. Billy Raybourn and me got togeather and started looking for a male dog to buy and bring here to carry the line on. That story next

Next the rest of the story.

I am not to smart about it either but when I had that issue that's what I done. Thanks For Your Time Mr. Jack. Dave

Mr. Zink

Thank you for the compliment on Tramp. There has not been any pups out of Tramp that has been worked on big game. He just turned 3 years old and I didn't want to breed him till after I finished him to Grand Nite. He only has 2 litters of pups on the ground, but we will be raising some pups this year. There have been dogs in this line worked on big game through the years with a lot of success. I would like to see some off Tramp worked on big game< I think it would work. I don't know exactly what it takes to make a good bear dog. I've never been on a bear hunt, but these dogs have a good nose and their plenty fast enough and they are smart enough. If I can be of any service to you just let me know
