Had a good hunt last night. Took 2 young dogs and dropped them separate. Female did a great job grubbing one up in cut over and having a big coon. Male did a good job and ended up showing me 3 coon. Mr Jones I was able to tone the female into me when needed I did not get the situation to need to with the male.

RON

Ron I have noticed the males tend to be more hard headed! sounds like you had a good nt. tho. took older male and female! not the spots I hunt pup! treed couple but little female went 7/10ths of mile one dump never made a bark! circled back! I have some good spots but so dang wet cant get off the rd.

I had one rough night.Man was it muddy! My 7 month old pup hunted his guts out and ran trash every time I cut him.I put a stop to the fast long tracks.Old dog treed a few dens and a slick or 2.I was pouring the sweat and coughing up a lung. After the first drop being such I pain I called it a night.I need to totally change my hunting methods with this pup and get over this cold.Good hunting fellas.

Had a good hunt tonight and was back home early for that 4 am wake up. Old female treed a den , young dog struck close and work an old bad track up . Ended up in the next hollar with a big boar coon. Young dog is as independent as they come. Will absolutely not back anything at all.

LMAO! matt we all have those kind of nts at times. I just got in took my older male. treed 5 several dens! but my neighbor called and wanted to go. he farms about 2k acres. went to a spot I never hunted. Dam coon moving all over that! wish I had taken pup now. 2.5 yr old just don't need that many.

Made it back out tonight for couple drops ....treed a coon and a den....realized on second drop I had dropped my garmin at first drop....lol after a couple minutes brother chuckled ....he lost his phone back there too.... Went back found both....called it on that note....

Posted by Brewster12 on 12-31-2015 06:31 PM:

Made three drops last night with the blue dogs and treed three coons. The dogs looked real sharp, good hot tracks. They didn't have to go over 300 yards on any drop to get struck and treed. Was a good night to be in the woods.

Went early two drops nothing came home took a nap made a dump treed a double pretty quick....took one and called it a night....

I am hoping for some good response. Do you know of a time you might head over this way? What is the closest town to you. I am near the Lisbon club.

Had some good hunting last night. Buddy Bill and I took turns dropping our male dogs. Each had 2 drops and each had 4 tracks and trees. Each showed us coon and a slick and couple dens. Very cold and frosty and clear but was a fun night with some good dog work.

Had a good hunt with my dad tonight. My pup ran deer and rabbits all night.I layed it on him a couple times and showed him a couple coon.Dads dog treed 4 trees and had 4 coons. He did a real nice job working them coons up.Most accurate dog I've ever seen.

Good nite for Alice

I took her and a pup last nite for the first time after whelping a litter of pups. Ended up treeing 2 single,1 den and of course a slick. Pup went hunting good all nite with her. First place I pulled into she did that classic trait I like so much about her. She got out on the tailgate and put that head in the air and I knew right then there was a coon layed up that was soon be treed by her. Sure enough in less that a minute and 87 yards in she came treed and had a coon up a huge red oak. Seen it many times and she's the best I've ever owned with that trait. Gonna let here tightin up a bit more before I hunt her again!Sure was cold, clear and frosty last nite! Ole man like myself got a bit cold!!

coon

coon seem to be moving better! took 2.5 yr old male out about 11 o:clock! treed a triple and single. and couple dens. back home by 1. Dang wind not sure if I just got use to the warm nts or I am just getting older to know the difference now. seems as tho not as fun as it once was. LOL hunt my 8 mth old that's more fun than hunting these others he keeps it exciting.

Had a good hunt tonight with my 20 month old female Speck. Treed 3 coons on outside and also got to work her on some retrieval issues. All went well for a cold frozen night. She hunted her guts out and worked 3 tracks. She made 2 trees and put 1 in a big log pile. Struck all around frozen swamps. Good night for my young dog.

Posted by CHEWBACH on 01-07-2016 03:30 PM:

RON

Nice Ron sounds like your getting her under control. Took my pup last nt. 8 mts old in one woods! Treed 2 out side and one was a nice cold track little sucker worked it out and treed it. the other he just felled treed on it. for a pup he knows how to find them sitting up. knocked those out came home. that's well over 100 he has treed. fig that's a plenty enough for any dog young or old. hes had about 70 or so in his mouth. Good hunting Ron my Friend.
