The last hunt.

Saturday night Paul was hunting Stud and Jr at one of his better spots. Paul had made one tree with the duo and decided to move across the highway to another spot. He turned them loose and Stud went in and stuck and soon treed but didn't here anything out of Jr. Paul tracked Jr and found him and he had fallen about 25' to his death off of a railroad trussel. Very heart breaking for Paul.

Sorry about your loss Paul.

Very sorry for your loss.

It's the hardest thing in our sport to raise a hound, and then have to bury them after an accident out hunting, I have been there.
Keep up your breeding, you will always have those memories.

I personally hunted Stud last week and he is a very nice hound. Stud made several trees seeing 6 of them and he caught 2 on the ground and several of the tracks ended at the water. The trees here in Texas are fully leafed out. I hunt around flooded bottom land and had to call Stud back in one time because he swam out 150 yards in the backwater and the water goes on for miles and there is no swimming to the other side. Stud has a mouth that most coon hunters wish their dogs had. He is quick to strike and can drive a track, has a beautiful locate and bawls and chops on tree. Thanks for letting me hunt Stud and hope to train my House bred female with him.
