Had a good hunt last night looked at several coon and a few dens. I'm getting lazy and not snapping any pics.

Took to young walker females out tonight.Treed 6 coons all were layups.Young dogs ant mastered layups yet but did I ok.Sure would like to hear a good race.
Also that Blue dog is A good looking joker!!

We treed 4 tonight. 2 were over 20lbs.. We've had a pretty good week so far..

I had a pretty rough night last night. Made 2 drops and run 2 tracks straight to dens.Walked 3.2 miles in 2 hours and that was enough!Still got 2 inches of snow here.

Wanted to go last night but we still had snow here and as soon as it got dark temps dropped like a rock down to 22. Crusty snow is hard on dogs feet.

Yeah it was cold,crusty,and the frost layed quick.It was nice and quite out there though just me and the hounds.I enjoyed it but sure thought there would be more coon stiring.

Tried again here in the East Central part of the state, we still have a good amount of snow on, dogs hunted their tails off, went over 1.5 miles and not straight line actually hunted it out and never got a bark. Hopefully the coon here will start moving again, it's been pretty worthless the last few nights here

I just had knee surgery so my buddy is hunting my young dog some while I'm laid up. He took him tonight for a short hunt said he made 2 trees in about 15 minutes. Had a den and a coon.

treed 4 on the outside last nite around the Utica-Lock area. also had 3 holes and a few maybe trees. lol

11/30/13

Went out last night but didnt have too much action, got to do a little correcting on a couple things! Roxy did make 2 trees and both were dens, I might have got in the woods too early at 6:00. She worked this track down a bottom in a hollow for about 300 yards and only opened once when she first struck. Took her a while to decide to tree but that is the way my short night went

Sure wish I could hunt tonight but it's my fiancee birthday today so I will be spending the evening with her. Good luck coon should move good the next few nights. May be the last time we see temps above freezing for the rest of season.

Does anyone coon hunt the Shawnee forest in southern ohio , never hunted there was wondering if it's worth it .

I've never hunted there but rode quads at Wayne National Forest which is real close to there.Theres big hills and few coon.From where I'm at the farther you go east the less coon there is.West Union is a Far East as I'm gonna go.I can hunt hundreds of acres if Blue Creek but choose not to.Them hills and few coon are not for me.LoL
