Folks Woody just had another finish to NtCh from one of his 4 or 5 litters. He isn't getting any younger and I wouldn't be behind this hound unless I knew that both he and his ancestors both are and will be an asset to not only the Bluetick breed, but the Coonhound world.

Texas State Hunt

Dead cast Friday, won Grands sat night, 10th overall.. If he had a better handler might have placed a bit higher! Lol

Donnie that sounds like my luck. I have had the same thing happen. I remember one time Lee had a dead flying squirell at the base of a tree, about 8-10 feet up was a rattle snake, then above him was a coon.

Folks he's getting a little age on him so I reallly hope he's not one of those that gets over looked until it's too late.

Sorry Donnie for the mishap. I know you and Woody where ready.

Well, Friday Woody was much more ready than I was... If I'd of called him like he was doin... That cast may have turned out differently..may not have won, (due to some other cicumstances on the cast) but 575 would not have been scored for sure. The Rambo iv dog is really nice and doesnt make mistakes, sure enough coondog and his handler was top notch and a pleasure to have hunted against.. He will do well in Kentucky for sure!...And sat.. Well if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all!! Lol!
Woody may be going on 6 yrs, but he is built to last and has lots of good years of hunting left in him! But he is and will be available to breed to for as long as he can get it done!

Folks don't overlook this dog in your breeding program. He's bred to reproduce and it will be something that you can build on for years to come. He's a #1 coondog and needs pups on the ground.

Donnie I'm sorry it works that way. Some people will do anything to win a hunt. That's the main reason we quit, I didn't have the patient's for some of those kind. Maybe next year, I hope to travel with you to the bighouse. Hey, that kinda of folks makes you want to smoke some weed before you draw them, that way no matter what you can still laugh!!!!HA

Thanks Tom. I was on the Purina Cast. Tough little Black and Tan gyp from up your way.. Pays to have a dog on his own most the time! I even drew 125- lol. Bad handler call! It was a good cast!
