Had a great time this past weekend doing "the water race loop" through MO -- Fri and Sat at Cole Camp and then Higbee on Sun.
Big thanks to stonehill/Dennis for showing me around, introducing me to lots of people, and making me feel welcome. Oh yes, and also for finding an energetic kid to help handle my dogs!!
Participation was good all 3 days and wow were there some close races! I'd have hated to be a line or tree judge for those!

I wasn't able to video very much, but here's what I did get.

I believe this is the race where stonehill's Smokey dog finished to GrWCh:

And this is Smokey and Dennis' WCh dog Judy swimming at Higbee in a combined heat:

Here is my dog (actually Tiny's dog) Ryder --Judy's litter brother-- swimming at Cole Camp, but I couldn't remember if this was a first heat or a semi final:

And I think this was the open final on Friday:

Disappointing to see both Troy and Cole Camp with a water race on 10/12.
But glad to see a water race at the Fall Roundup again this year.

Don't forget the water race next weekend, 9/7, at the BBCHA Sectional in Winterset Iowa!!!

Hey Dennis!! You are always so sweet to think of everyone! Thanks...I miss you guys too...We will be back around...Just have to let some things die for a little while...I don't do meanness and I refuse to be in the company of it...Also, we lost one of our most precious girls "Johnnie Angel" in the field trial at American Redbone Days in June..Just when I think I am about over that, then my old lady, Ice Baby dies this past Tuesday...It's just been a hard year...We have been staying real busy with some "all-breed" showing this year..It's just kinda hard to do it all, especially if your heart isn't in it...

Thanks again for thinking of us..It means a lot...You just don't know

Both Troy IA & Cole Camp MO have water races this Sat. ( Oct.12 )

Clearfield County Coon Club in Mahaffey PA has a Field Trial scheduled on November 30. We also have a real nice pond and we will be having Water Races next spring but didnt want to schedule one for this event for fear of possible ice haha. We also have bench show and Nite Hunt the 30 as well and it is an English Sectional

Thanks You should have seen the smile on his face when he seen himself in the Magazine. HAHA he just turned 9 last week but he will be a coonhunter for life haha. Thats all he talks about is that picture and "His Polly Girl" haha

Hell Hole CHA in Georgetown SC this coming weekend SATURDAY OCT. 19th we are having a UKC EVENT/BENCH SHOW 4 pm deadline $10 entry fee/NITE HUNT 7pm deadline $20 entry fee. This event will feature the SC STATE WATER RACE CHAMPIONSHIP at 4 pm with an entry of $10. There will be trophies for all event winners. The STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WATER RACE however will feature a special set of trophies suitable for the title of SC STATE WATER RACE CHAMPIONS. Hi Chawn , the weather was great. The turnout ,however, was very light. In the water race there was 4 open dogs , 2 champs , and 1 grand .( two open dogs, one champ, and the grand were mine ) The bench show and nite hunt were also very small. Most people there thought the attendance was so low due to deer season. I can't imagine leaving the hounds at home to go deer hunting but to each his own I guess.

How'd the other 3 do?
I tried to talk Tiny into going down for it but we had an invite to hunt with a friend here (opening night), so that's what he wanted to do. It was a bust. Would have been more fun to water race! I should have come down there and done the whole works. Went to a Nite Hunt here Friday night that is typically pretty small but the turnout ended up being really good for that club. It was Jori's 1st Nite Hunt and we had a good time.

Now it's going to be a long wait until the races start up again next year. LOL
Sure would be fun to head out to AZ this winter to WR and FT, huh?!
