I do listen to Frances Gail, she controls the food and I love to eat, but that only goes so far.LOL I didn't do as well in the military as I could have because I hated it and I have always hated stupid people trying to tell me what to do.

I would call any rifle that was designed to use in combat to kill people an assault rifle. Example : M16/AR15, AK47, M-60,ect.ect.

I have a 10/22 Rugar that has a "military" style stock on it (I didn't convert, it was like that when I aquired it) that is a great squirrel rifle. I reckon I should spend a little money and buy another stock for it but the current stock doesn't make it an assault rifle. It is just a squirrel gun. I have another 10/22 that has a factory stock on it I use for coon.

You say the stock on it doesnt make it a assault rifle? Thats exactly what makes it an assault rifle and according to the proposed law it will be illegal. Remington is now offering a program to change the stocks on its AR15s so they will conform to these idiots new laws.

First I bought me a bb gun to shoot snow birds, I out grew it. Then Remington auto 22 to plink tin cans and telephone insulators, I out grew it. Then light 12 A5 Browning Auto to kill squirrels, I out grew it. Then BAR 270 to shoot deer, I out grew it. I've owned several other guns, all what I thought was the best at the time, but I out grew them and passed them on down. All I have now is 2 old guns that nobody will have, but in the hands of some body that knows how to use them, they furnish all the fire power that's needed to answer that rattling door at midnight. And I always got the job done that was at hand, and none of them was of the AR type. Being in the woods without a gun is like being up a creek without a paddle and not having one standing in the corner close by filled to capacity, is like walking down a dark street in Chicago by yourself. But to each his own.

If you need an assault weapon, join the Marines. I think a good Drill Instructor would make a big change in some of you guy's attitude.

I don't know nothing about an AR type weapon. I do know something about an M1 Garand. Been there done that, It is 30.06 cal. shoots 8 times semi auto. The bullets are in a little metal clip. You have an ammo belt around your waist with little pockets all around. Each pocket has a clip with 8 bullets. You pull the bolt back, it stays back, you shove clip and all down from top. Jerk your hand back, bolt slams shut pushing first round in chamber. You shoot 8 times, empty clip jumps out, the bolts stays back, you get another clip from your belt, shove it down in and start shooting again. Big heavy and slow fire power. Now someone decided that there could be a better weapon made for the battle field, so the first one that was made was semi and fully auto for the 7.62 round. Still no good. So they modified and re modified till they come up with the lighter and faster .223. All this time they were reinventing the weapon, using it to hunt with or for civilian use wasn't the intended purpose. I have never owned one, never shot one, don't want one, but seen a plenty. If everybody that hunted used my motto, "One shot, one kill." they wouldn't be needing all these fast shooting guns with the big clips.

Your 10/22 is by their definition an assault weapon as you described it.

Even though its a great "squirrel" assault rifle you should go ahead and pay the $50 to change the stock. That way everyone can then at least know you fully stand behind your beliefs and aren't just another typical hypocritical liberal spewing their nonsense that applies to everyone but themselves! One would think that by owning and even considering useful as a hunting rifle one of the "assult rifles" in question that you would realize that this proposed ban is absurd. I just dont see how you can justify preaching from your soap box that none of us should be allowed to own the same class of weapon that you already do? The proposed ban is not ONLY AR style rifles....

The liberals have been masterful at getting people to be buy into their agenda. I have seen it lots of times, guys selling their dogs and guns cheap because they lost their job or their wife left them. As soon as the corporate thieves get through with you, they will be the only ones having any guns.

Track I hope I understand your question, I believe ALL HUMANS are created in Gods Image. Regardless of their race, gender, or age (development). The only reason I believe this is because that's what the Bible says. I also believe this is where racism gets it's start when one group of people tries to dehumanize another. History is full of sad examples. I apologize if this is not what you were asking!
